I am so addicted to the song. It's amazing. I can't really explain why, but I love it. I had heard it before "Buffy" used it in Tabula Rasa, but it just got so much better after that.. i wonder if it's because it ends with a kiss :thought:

back to another thought: Tabula Rasa was definately a prime episode, don't you think? It was different, and it also showed us some quite amusing things.

Anya is still afraid of bunnies(some fears can't be forgotten) XD
 
Wow, I just started listening to this song as I clicked 'new posts' and here this thread was.

I also love the song.

Tab is an ace ep, I still love how just because Giles and Spike are english they assume that they are related, and that Spike is daft enough to thing that his name would be inside his clothes and he is a grown man/vamp.

Yeah XD poor Randy.

One of my favorite lines is defiantely when he goes: Dad can drive. He's bound to have some classic midlife-crisis transport. Something red, shiny, shaped like a penis.

It just makes me giggle. Giles does have a red and shiny car
 
It's possibly in my top 5 favourite episodes and yeah the song didn't really grow on me until I heard it in the episode. There's just something about how its used and how it manages to capture the meaning of so many events that happen at the time.
 
I think the episode is overrated. I like the ending as well as the Randy/Rupert/Enya stuff, but everything else is so disappointing. Like how Buffy and Dawn discovered they were sisters, meh so unrealistic, or how Willow discovered she's gay. So predictable and fanficcy.

What made the Giles/Spike/Anya situation so funny and the best moment of the episode was because it was false and completely wrong. If Willow and Xander kept playing boyfriend and girlfriend it would've been so much more interesting, maybe have Tara be the one to notice poor, alone Dawn and take care of her, then Dawn would assume she and Tara are related. I want more mislead, that what makes the episode funnier. Plus, Spike is surrounded by all these humans and he didn't feel the urge to bite them? What kind of vampire is he?

I think AtS's Spin the Bottle was funnier and better written than Tabula Rasa.

Yeah. Spin the Bottle is a better shot at the memory loss thing, then again it was written by Joss, so it is a cut above all of the other episodes.
I love michelle branch's song too but this episode is brill, it makes me laugh form start to finish every time that i watch it, i found it so funny where anya says 'No. Rupy, I'm sorry. You were right. That was the wrong book.' i just laughed so hard.

I love their sudden obsessive cleaning afterwards...

And even though it's innapropiate...Xander's laugh when he remembers King Ralph
 
Giles and Anya were perfect in this episode. I loved how it was all a precursor to their roles in Two to Go and Grave, where they did exactly the same things, but as themselves. So sweet.

Plus, "Bara Bara Himble Gemination!"

i like michelle branch, so i loved the song before i saw the episode. i thought it was so well placed and the episode is in my top five. it's hilarious but also really, really upsetting.
 
They used this song in Charmed once, and they used to original version where the song is less... sad. Buffy's was much better.

Randomly that song is the only one of hers that I have on my ipod and truly it is only because of that episode!
 
Well, i was already a Michelle Branch "fan". I loved her songs and my fav was Goodbye to you so when i first saw "tabula rasa" i was really surprised. 😉 i really like the song so it was a good surprise! 🙂
 
Yeah that song really added to the Tillow breakup!!! Anya and Giles were amazing! Also i liked Giles and Spike... also Umad!
 
a great way to finish an episode i must say... even my mum loved this episode, she said it took her on an emotional ride... it was soo funny and then its so sad with tara leaving (she actually felt sorry for tara and not willow, my mum tends not to care about anyone but spike)
 
That song is my (relatively) new favorite love song because of that episode! I just love it sooo much! It worked really well for that whole scene I think. and WOW! Michelle Branch at the Bronze? sweetness😀

I think it's a mum thing... caring about Spike. Joyce got along great with Spike. maybe it's because they see the little shy poet hidden in the "Big bad" attitude. They'd like to protect and guide him.

I completely agree...God, that bit annoys me.

How corny. That would never happen.

But the rest of the episode, I liked a lot. It's weird to say that because the episode upsets me from the first scene on and fills me with dread the whole time. It's funny, but underlying that is a horrible sadness for Tara and anger at Willow and more sadness about Tillow...meh.

I agree.. The Dawn and "Joan" thing where they just asume they are sisters... BIG THUMB DOWN. If I meet a stranger and I think he/she is annoying it doesn't mean he/she is my long lost sibling
