The kind that has already grown way attached to and cares about these people and so would never even get an urge to bite them if he temporarily lost memory of the chip :biggrin:

I love this song, but I am almost completely sure I would be indifferent to it if it weren't for this episode, its a special kind of power that soundtracks have.

....Do we really think he never ever got the urge to bite Xander? Or Giles? Or any of the others when they annoyed him?
He's still a vampire...and I wouldn't call his relationship to Giles/Xander "way attached"..or even "cares about", other than the fact that he cares about Buffy and wouldn't bite them if he could for her sake. That doesn't mean he never got the urge to, though..

Are you kidding me? It was one of the best things. They kiss, and get their memory back, WHILE kissing. It's brilliant!
 
Well, i thought it was a little strange... I mean, Giles looked like her father XD not her husband!
 
Lol, I loved the whole Ganya thing! They were so cute together! But anyway, I had a very important and intelligent comment to make, but now I've forgotten what it was....

Oh, I remember now. It was about Spike not feeling the urge to bite anyone. It may just be because he didn't actually know he was a Vampire. A lot of the time, when Vampire's claw their way out of the ground, they don't actually realise they're dead. Sometimes another Vampire will explain, sometimes Buffy will. Most often though, the combination of their having been in the ground and their vamp face the first time they fight lets them know. Perhaps, if Spike had just fed before he came over, he simply wouldn't realise that he was a Vampire till he fought. After all, the chip had subconciously trained him that biting=pain, so he isn't so likely to feel that urge.

that's a very good point there ! Holden didn't know he was a vampire either. Spike must have gotten his blod w/ Weetabix before he dropped by.... thinking he was going on the whole "asylum" thing. Need to eat good, cos those buggers at teh magic shop feeds me crap!

Attached or not, he's a vampire. He must feel something about them that he wants to drain them or something. It's an instinct. It has nothing to do with how he feels about them. Plus, he doesn't know them to feel anything about them.

I think they handled Angel's memory loss much better. He still felt like a vampire and was too conflicted about these weird feelings he's having, it was twice funnier and more realistic.
 
Tbh, I can't really remember the song, but I can remember the whole scene it belonged to, and yeah, it fitted great. Also, i must agree a little bit with sosa lola, although I haven't seen the Angel episode. The whole Buffy-Dawn thing was painfully unrealistic and the Willow and Tara thing was also, I dunno, artificial. But I loved Anya and Giles, and the bunnies, and the kiss.. That was probably the funniest part. About Spike, I think it's indeed like Five by Five said, the whole memory loss thing spanned only a day or so, right? If he had his bloody weetabix before he came there, he wouldn't have the urge to bite anyone. I guess. How often do vamp's have to feed in one day? ^^

back to another thought: Tabula Rasa was definately a prime episode, don't you think? It was different, and it also showed us some quite amusing things.

I can't be bothered reading pages of tosh about this song so I just read your post and will give my opinion.

This is my JOINT favourite song in the Buffy.

I think it is absolutely wonderful and Michelle is beautiful with a beautiful voice and it breaks my heart watching this scene in Tabula Rasa.

It is joined by Bif Naked and Lucky Ones - another amazing song and if I had a choice when I got married, I would play this as my first song.

IF we extend to the Buffyverse then that would also include Oh Mandy by Angel AND Oh Jasmine by Angel and Connor.

The episode is AMAZING, so reaveling and the music fits perfectly *_*

But I think the version kinda sux... M.Branch was on a bad day or something.. her voice was terrible xD
 
amazing episode and to end with a great song like that makes it better, i would say it is probably my favourite song used in buffy after sarah McLachlan's full of grace which is just wow
 
The song in "Convos with dead people" is good too! Sooooo creepy kinda haunting

I totally love this song! After hearing it I went out and brought Michelle Branches album, which I found had loads of other fantastic songs on it too.
I think "Goodbye to you" is perfect for the episode Tab.
 
Because of this ep I got to know Michelle Branche, she ia such a great singer!
And "Goodbye to you" is such a beautiful song, I heard it so many times, I know it from my mind XD
