Hi all,

A few years ago there was this thread asking if people would be interested in sharing each others' goodreads accounts. After the recent succes of the 30 day book challenge thread, I thought it might be interesting to see if anyone would be up for it!

We can't share (I think) the links to our accounts, but we could PM each other. Let me know what you think 🙂
 
Goodreads is basically the book social media platform. You track your progress with books and share reviews of books you read. Then there is basically a timeline with what your friends are reading and their reviews.

I like to use it to find new recommendations 🙂
 
Why can it not be shared here. I do not believe it is in breach of the rules or anything.
 
What link? Isn't it just sharing usernames?

Lol I am not very tech savvy and usually just send the link to my account from my pc.
I would say that if you aren't comfortable with sharing your real name (if Goodreads has it) then do it by PM.

Do you add the comics to it, or just stick or books?

I'm on target so far to hit the 25 books I'm hoping to read this year.

We already have each other on goodreads indeed!

I also add comics but I don't count those to my reading challenge. I aim to read 52 books this year, but I think if I keep going like this I will easily surpass that.

What about you? Do you add comics?
 
How do you not add them on the reading challenge? I would add them but I kinda consider it cheating on the challenge
 
I just keep a different count for myself honestly. There is no way to not add them to your challenge.

I had a friend get all high and might with me because he thought I was cheating (I agree with that idea too) and he would not let me explain that I just add them to keep track of my reading progress rather than for my goal. So I know I have read 17 comic books this year already and 22 books.

I am actually considering to remove the official challenge from my account. I used it to get started and as a motivation tool, but reading has now so become part of my habit that I don't need it anymore, honestly.

What is everyone's challenge number for this year? I'm sticking with 24 books again this year
 
I haven't gone on the site this year, but I might set it at 6, since I only read 3 last year.

It includes most of my school books, though some are too obscure to be on GR and others I don’t read the whole book, so I tend not to count those.
 
I'm failing at my reading challenge this year, so far I've only read 7 books
