Goof in "School Hard"...

I'm watching "School Hard" as I feed my little man, and noticed a goof in the episode. When Buffy and Willow are at The Bronze studying,their table is covered in books and paper. After Buffy leaves to fight the vampire Spike sent out to "get something to eat", Xander goes back in to get Buffy a stake... All of a sudden only Buffy's purse is on the table. And I'm not sure, but I also think its a different table. Maybe that's why Buffy's grades are so bad... People keep stealing her books? LOL

Ha! I noticed that.

I guess where it was early in the shows inception they hadn't ironed out all the mistakes yet and still had relatively unknown, potentially unskilled crew members.

Whedon ruthlessly saw to this issue though, don't forget he fired over half the writing staff from seasons 1 and 2, so it's likely he did the same in other areas.

Probably why the later seasons are much tighter and look better. Plus budget.

Nah, it was a magical Hellmouth table. They move when you're not looking, plus they change your stuff around to confuse you.

Stupid, evil tables.

I'm doing a re-watch & I'm on season 2 right now & I did notice that watching "School Hard". It's funny how much more you notice when you've seen the episodes so many times lol I've been noticing a lot more goofs even just since my last re-watch, like open doors suddenly being closed, etc.

Definitely! The more times I watch a show, the more little inconsistencies drive me nuts, like hair in different places, body language not matching up, etc.

Any production with multiple camera angles will have those kinds of small continuity problems. The more you watch them the worse they look. Long hair, food, drinks and cigarettes are often the worst offenders as they are almost impossible to keep consistent throughout the day if you are doing multiple camera setups throughout the day or over several days.

I once edited a music video for a friend & it was a quick & dirty shoot. By the time I was done the only thing I could see when I watched the finished product was the continuity errors I couldn't edit around.
