I dont know if anyone noticed this, but, (i cant remeber the exact episodes, but it should make sense) anyway. In one of the epiosdes, Glory discusses that the dont know what the key is, she says it could have been a log, a bike or anything, but when one of her minions discovers that the key is human, shes delighted. Now, Glory knew the ritual she had to do, make the key bleed, which is what she did, and as far as i know you cant bleed a log or a bicicle. Am i right? Please let me be right, cuz i feel smart cuz i figured this out, so i hope its right!-
 
Hmm.. perhaps Glory knew all along that the key had to be human, otherwise the ritual wouldn't apply. What episode was this in season 5? Perhaps she was being sarcastic?

Again I need to go see the episode again. Anyone else? I remember that Glory was a pretty complex character to figure out, on my part anyways.
 
Maybe she would have had to turn the bike into something living ... a time consuming process, which she doesn't like!
 
LOL allycat, yes. and then dawn would turn out to be rusty!! get it? no? ahh what the hell i gave it a shot.
 
i think you are reading to much into the ramblings of a mentaslly unstable hell god ,,, maybe she was just exagerating maybe the monks would of had to make it something organic ,,,there maybe limitations of ewhat form the key could posess ,,but a good point ,, iwill have to watch that season again soon !
 
I have thought the same thing before, but I just think its one of those little things that they don't really catch in time.
 
yeah.....i've never saw that before. Thats strange, maybe it is a mistake, or maybe she found out the ritual afterwards? maybe there was something else she had to do if it was not living....i don't know. good catch The Male Slayer
 
well the thing is if the monks made the key into a log or something when Glory cut into it maybe it would bleed
 
This was definately a goof,it wasnt something she was being sarcastic about.I read somewhere that joss noticed it when the ep aired so he couldnt change it
 
That would be an interesting plot if the key was Buffy's kitchen table instead of Dawn...
 
hahaha, then I wonder if she could open up the portal by throwing in one of the legs of the table...
 
Lol I can see it now, Buffy's kitchen table has been attacked viscously and everyone mourns.

Anyway, maybe she was happy the key was a human, I mean, you ever tried to make a bike bleed?
 
Must be hard..like getting blood(no pun intended)out of a stone..or should i say bike lol
