Google+ vs. Facebook?

So is Google+ basically like Facebook? I've had FB for years but I've actually been getting bored of it lately, and I can't be the only one. So who knows, maybe Google+ will be the new/better Facebook? I don't think any of my friends have it though so I probably wouldn't even have anyone to add.

Ricks937 agrees: I'm pretty sure circles aren't like "groups" on facebook, they are a private (moreorless) way to organize friends. Akin to having a buffy board group in AIM.

I thought it was more like a blend? Like it's a group that sees what you post, but everyone in that group can see what you posted and can respond to what you posted without other circles seeing it?
