Gossip gets a bad rap. Some don't mind it so much though.
One of those Algonquin Round table types (I think it was George S Kaufman) thought an interest in gossip was a sign of intelligence.
Alice Roosevelt Longworth said, "If you haven't got anything nice to say about anybody, come sit next to me."
Gossip does have it's practical uses
and people's tendency to gossip is pretty much inevitable.
Some people just plain don't like Gossip.
and it does have it's negative side
It can even be a little scary
Some advise against gossip
But if you're going to do it, do it right
and appreciate it for what it is
and anyway maybe we have no one to blame, but ourselves
