Yeah there's definitely something sexual about vampirism. Even back to Stoker's Dracula critics identify the sexual elements within it, something which I think that Joss also explored with the Dracula episode in the show too.

SMG said it was one of the most erotic things she had ever seen on TV and that it flew right over the censors heads. Same probably goes for the Willow/Tara "sex scene" in 'Who Are You?'

I dunno, personally I find this scene and the Willow/Tara scene sexier than some of the gratuitous sex scenes in season six. The fact that they're clothed somehow makes it more sexier than just "flesh, flesh, flesh" which becomes so expected it looses all of it's appeal. It doesn't leave as much to the imagination.

Sexist scenes for me were always;

* Buffy/Angel sex scene in "˜Amends'

* Buffy/Angel "˜Graduation Day' bite

* Willow/Tara in "˜Who Are You?'

* Buffy/Riley in "˜The I in Team'

* Spike/Harmony in "˜Harsh Light of Day'

* Buffy/Xander in "˜B,B &B'

Yeah, I just watched HLOD today and man, is that scene sexy. Good song in the background, too.

I don't know, though. Nothing really beats Buffy and Spike's scene in Smashed. They literaly bring the house down. So much raw passion and power!
