I refuse to introduce myself without a questionnaire or some kind of similar thing describing my Buffy/Whedon fandom...so who will provide one? I'll answer (almost) anything! Plus, it's fun to see what may have changed with my very recent re-watch of BtVS!

And I know you all are REALLY interested to see what a random online stranger has to say...

Thanks for the welcome! You ask an intriguing question, Nix...but very vague! My favorite character in the Buffyverse? Or the Whedonverse?

In the Buffyverse at first it was Willow. When I first watched Buffy, I was so impressed with her character's growth through the seven seasons and I truly believe she's the pivotal character of the series as whole (the "heart" if you will).

But after the rewatch, I found myself connecting to Faith. Such a complex character. A casual viewer won't see her depth. That's why I love Whedon! His characters are incredibly human.

Aha nice answer :)
Hello there! And welcome to the board! It's always nice to see what new members have to say, so I'll ask away 😛

What's your favorite BtVS episode? AtS episode?

What's your favorite BtVS season? AtS season?

What's your favorite Whedon show?

What's your favorite AtS character?

What's your favorite ship/couple? and the big question, are you a Spuffy or a Bangel? lol

Gosh darn it! The BB ate my response! It was awesome too! *sigh*

Blaze! Thank you for the welcome and for the AWESOME HARD OMG I CAN'T DECIDE questions!

Keeping in mind I haven't yet seen Angel (I'm working on it...I just watched the series premier two nights ago).

Favorite BtVS episode:
TOO MANY! WHY? Can I give a top 5? Nope, that won't work because my Top 5 includes about 10 episodes...

Becoming Part 2 comes to mind because of the staggering amount of angst and emotion in 45 minutes. The Gift is close behind, though because...the depth...the amazing...

Favorite BtVS season:

Season 3 is my favorite as far as overall quality. So so good.

But Season 5 has incredible stand-alone episodes. And I do like the tail end of Season 6.

Favorite Whedon show:
BtVS

Dollhouse and Firefly were fantastic, but too short-lived to capture my heart in such a way. Don't get me wrong: I LOVED those shows and would have watched them had they continued to air. But Buffy was established, well-written, and relatable.

Favorite AtS Character:
Too early...can't answer...

Favorite Ship/Couple:
TOO HARD. TOO MANY!

Favorite ship....uuuum....favorite ship....

Sierra and Victor from "Dollhouse". (ha! Perhaps you were expecting a Buffy couple?)

Their story that even with their minds and personalities wiped, they always recognized each other and Victor's instinct to protect her made me melt every time. *snuggles*

Spuffy or Bangel:

Buffy/Angel. No doubt.

BUT with my rewatch, I found myself actually liking the Spike/Buffy storyline (well, Spike's part in it. Don't get my started on Buffy's hypocrisy). I particularly liked their Season 7 relationship.

But in my eyes, Buffy and Angel are meant for each other. I don't think either of them could love anyone else like they do each other.

oooh! *claps* This was fun! I want to say ALL my ships and all my favorites and...and...

Haha, season 3 karma woot! Although season 2 beats it just barely for me.

How did you find Buffy and the Whedonverse?
How did you find BB?

Anyway, welcome to BB and I'm glad you're jumping right in! 🙂

I like jumping head first into something I'm passionate about. It's much more fun than lurking! Or hanging about...

Thanks ever so, ducks!

I found the Buffyverse via my college suite mates (well, I knew about BtVS but didn't take it seriously until then) and it was (almost) love at first watch!

The rest of the Whedonverse I credit to a college friend who never stopped nagging me to watch Firefly, and my sister, who actually showed Firefly to me. The rest I found for myself. Still have to watch Dr Horrible and AtS.

Yay thanks for the questions! Keep 'em coming!

Hello there, so... Question -
what Buffyverse quote do you think relates most to yourself?
What quote do you keep repeating to yourself?
What season of Buffy - if you could only pick ONE - to rewatch for all eternity, which would you pick?

🙂 and welcome!!

Hello! Thanks for the questions! They're tough ones for sure!

what Buffyverse quote do you think relates most to yourself?
I was going to say this was going to be too hard to figure out (with the amount of relatable Buffy quotes, but I'm going to use the one in my profile:
Buffy: "Does it ever get easy?"
Giles: "You mean life?"
Buffy: "Yeah. Does it get easy?"
Giles: "What do you want me to say?"
Buffy: "Lie to me."
Giles: "Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after."
Buffy: "Liar."

I realize it's a series of quotes but the overall tone is what I'm going for. In this quote, I am Buffy. 🙂 there are definitely times of late that I've felt like this. I mean, why am I growing up and how do I make it stop?!

What quote do you keep repeating to yourself?
"I'm five-by-five."

I don't know why this quote is so great. No one knows what "five-by-five" actually means (unless I missed that memo) but I love the attitude in which Faith says it. Totally confident and aloof.

What season of Buffy - if you could only pick ONE - to rewatch for all eternity, which would you pick?
Oh man. If I pick season 5 it means I have to listen to Dawn screaming "Get out!" for eternity.

So season 3. So I get Faith, Angel, Vampire Willow and The Wish. I think I could deal.

Cool answers.

Oh and 5x5; comes from analog radio communications meaning "I understand you perfectly". I've also seen it described as a military term as an 'everything is in order' kinda thing. I think it was also used in some movie but I'm not sure which one, or maybe it was Star Trek, can't remember 🙂
