Great BB memories

Ohh fun times in BB land! I remember when C.O.A's Hyperion forum went and had nowhere to post my obsession of Angel till members posted their other prefered Wheddon verse chat and I discovered here! Then it got a database error! When we were back we were victims of Buffy Summer's cruel prank that was hilarious, but half as funny as when she fiddled with the font so you could type what you wanted but some of it would appear in nonsence!

Then Dhugsvilli ( I can never spell the user name right!) Kept getting banned for being a rude fella! He's M.I.A now isn't he? *Hopes he gone for good* Hee hee! Not to mention Al's infamous bitchin over TJK Philosipher's posts...

The fights over who was the better man thread reg Spike and Angel...

The best thing was getitng sorted into Merrick and we had the Merrick is best phase where it was in our banners all over the boards! Then TC and DoI joined us and it has got even better reading all about cheese! lol! They liven the Merrick chat no end!


A few people have gone sinse I joined like galathia and matt and Arcane or whatever his name is now! and Arabella.. and whatever happend to the warewolf game??? THAT was hilarious! VG was suspected at every opportunity!

Oh, and something I sometimes wonder about. We gave one of the houses a monkey for a mascot. Did you keep it, or did you take it back to your house, and have a monkey sacrifice, or something?

Wait! THAT'S where Merri came from?! i had no idea!! lol, learn something new everyday, and all that! we've still got him. he's our little mascot! he's a cutie! we had a fight over the name though...glad to say that my suggestion won! lol

hmm, the beer fridge...i think i knew who took that, but now its just a complete blank! lol

YAY!!! LOL Someone mentioned one of my idea's! WOOT!!! I remember proposing that we find a house mascot. And I remember seeing all the pictures and making fun of AB's with the help of VG! LMAO!!!

Everything's been a blast so far. It's hard to choose.

Getting adopted, figuring out the shoutbox, getting sorted, playing in the RPG, finding out that our fearless leader Buffy Summers is a fellow GH fan, and starting the yellow crayon story have all been highlights, though.

Oh, shocking Keanoite by admitting to a smidgen of Bangel love is also high on the list. Oooh - and sharing a brain with Slayer Comma The was fun, too. Most recently, my unfettered Giles gushing was great.

Hmmm... oh so many memories! I remember when I was president of the US and everyone owed me choco milk! Come to think of it... where is my choco milk? I want it with interest now people. lol

Oh... and then there's the memory of meeting Frenchy in Brum after being bestest buds on BB for like 3 years! Shortly followed by BBGB-06 and a life re-vamp... lol This place really can have an impact on you.

BBGB06 was pretty special, even for those of us who were only there for a couple of hours and not drinking 😉 Though my life wasn't re-vamped (I saw what you did there, you little punstress, you 🙂) in quite the same way as yours.

Definitely for me coming back from the big crash way back when (and all the usernames with an underscore were pooched lol, that was interesting !) was really fun. Don't get me wrong, the crash itself sucked but afterwards was great to talk to everyone again, see how everyone who was deleted dealed with their usernames! 🙂

And of course, at the top of the list, the BB Awards the year before last. Sadly, I missed last year's, but the year before was such a blast! With VG as my date (lol such a gentleman 😀) and afterparty-age, I didn't think online awards could be THAT much fun!

Plus the suspense nearly KILLED me! :bounce:

(For anyone who didn't know, I was up for best fanfic, which was a huge surprise for me! It was really flattering-- my first nomination for any writing, ever! Of course BOTD won (😉) but all the same, it was just awesome to be nominated!) :thumbs:


PS: And great times in VH, what a great place to be sorted into! Have way too many great memories in those threads! :heart:

AB reminded me about talking about the episodes when they were actually airing. Gosh, that was so long ago!

I remember feeling the need to post like two minutes after the eps were over. And didn't we use to have little pictures on the left hand side advertising the current week's ep and the next week's ep? Or am I imagining that I remember that?

Life before Raiden wasn't as exciting. I liked having Raiden pride with everyone in my house (we're the low-key house... just doing our own thing!)

Actually that was different - we don't let people use underscores because the usernames on the board are links, and thus underlined, and you can't tell the difference between angelic_slayer and angelic slayer.

Nope, I coded that. Which was funny when someone ripped it off by cutting and pasting the code - including the links to the pictures which were on our server and started buffy-boards.com... Then when I called them on that they told me it was done by their friend who had never been to buffy-boards...

lol!! I remember when everyone was going to BBGB-06 and me and the wonderful as she was known then Charmed Slayer, were desperate to out do you guys. And then posting all our stories about meeting up with Summer Glau during our first convention together! And then we went together last year and got to talk to Ron Glass who remembered my name for the next 2 days after meeting me! I was so excited when he kept smiling at me and saying 'it's my friend Jessica' and the look on CS face when she realised that he knew who I was!!!

I have quite a few memories, considering the fact that I've been off and on here for quite a few years under BoS, and one name before that that I can't remember. At least since 2004.

Anyways, let me just say that there have been some truly awesome people to grace this forum:

-Rayne, whom I shared an Evanescence obsession with at some point...
-arabella, who I live close to apparently. she's still around some, but not as much...
-Anita Blake, who was my RPG buddy...
-DiaDelaMuerte/BoredoftheDead/Al, who always has SOMETHING to say, no matter what subject and spent many a minute talking with on MSN...

There are a ton of memories, too, I just can't really put them together into a sentence. They mainly involve weird, late-night, conversations on the chat box and vulger conversations on MSN sometimes...But yeah, I really kind of love this place. =]

My first fight with BOTD (Bored of the Dead) on Buffy having more female characters and Angel having more male characters. Lead characters that is. And now, we are friends. Thankfully.

wow, so many memories! i agree with many that were already said, like the werewolves game, BORK BORK! 😀 and the awards. among my personal ones:

-getting sorted to raiden
-getting into the RPG
-being adopted by al (BOTD)
-i think i was nominated for an award in the first ceremony i was here for...i believe it was for fanfic...i didnt win, of course, but i was excited and honored to be nominated
-writing my first fanfic for the BB
-making banners for people
-reading the cool fanfics on here, such as 'old friends' and 'aly' (but there are most many certainly more 🙂)
-the survivor games, especially those insanely intense ones where we were on forever, fingers killing us, just to get our person to win 😀

...and probably many others i just cant think of right now 🙂
