Anyway, also would like to add Wanabee-slayer, charmed slayer, spirit_of_fred and anyone else I forgot! They've all made me smile endless amounts of time over the last couple years! 🙂

As wiccanslayer said there's also a lot of newer members that I'm just getting to know that are really awesome, just thought I'd go for the oldies here. Arg so many great people! I keep forgetting everyone!

You guys have supported me through everything and for that am REALLY grateful. My life would not be the same without you guys, you've all played a major part in making me the person I am today.

Everyone on BB is a "Great Member" and I think that it's important to remember that although we're all different and some of us may not talk to each other as much as other we each have an important contribution to make.

This thread isn't about the whole board, it should be about voicing your thoughts and feelings about the members that really have made your time here not only worthwhile but beyond pleasurable.
This wasn't even meant to be a thread about listing your 'favourite' members.
It was a way to aknowledge that person/those people in public.

My next one has to be Visionguy(Mesektet Ra stole my first two!!!).

This chap has been one of the people I've come to know over time, told him some things, he's told me things and I do believe a friendship has built.
I can't remember exactly when we began talking, maybe it was when I was posting my fanfic but I do remember staying up late and talking to him on my AIM.
He is always a cool, chilled out dude, but tonights festivities reminds me of one a couple of years ago.
It my my first 'Buffies' and I really didn't want to participate so instead, Jesse was posting what I was saying as though it was his thoughts. Basically he was Letterman and I was the writer(couldn't do that this year, what with the strike and all).
We've had some good times on these boards but one of my absolute favourite times involves the two of us and a wonderful member, sadly not with us anymore, Hellgods.
Ohhh happy days.

Again, all I can say is, Jesse, thank you good buddy🙂

But, I like to think of many on here as friends. Like I've mentioned a couple of times, I don't have RL friends I can talk and analyse Buffy with, so time on here is super-cool! Plus you're all awesome, friendly people and I can't wait to get to know yous better. 🙂 Thanks for making me feel welcome here, and discussing the genius that is, Buffy and Angel. I'll never tire of it, or everyone's company!

Wow this is tough. There are so many people who I talk to and enjoy. But ~Angelic Slayer~ is definitely numero uno on my list. Since I have come to Buffy-Boards she has really been there for me. As a fellow Buffy fan and as a true friend. We remember each other's b-days and we remember other important days in each other's lives. We talk apart from BB quite often and it's all very nice. It's been a couple of years now and I hope it lasts a lifetime.
There are others of you I enjoy talking to The Chosen and I talk more often than anyone else here, minus of course Angelic Slayer. But apart fom ~AS~ BuffBuff and I spend the most outside of Buffy-Boards together. She's a lot of fun and a great friend she has become.
DOI and well, a few more. I will list them a bit later.

When I think of it I have been here almost like a year and at the beginning I was most of the time around the art threads. There I can't miss to mention Angel's vision who has been really nice to me and I enjoyed seeing her art. She actually talked me into watching the Angel series ( which is a difficult thing b/c I wasn't that much of an Angel fan 😀 ) Then I started hanging around our Drogyn place and found xdrux, stuckin traffic, alexa and all the sweet Drogynites 🙂

Still on cold meds, but I realized there would be no way to list everyone special without a list of everyone on the boards.

So, I thought I would say this.....

I've been a member of many a message board before and still am on many. And the problem with getting so many people together is that you're bound to clash at some point on some topic. Even on a message board of 2!
And, at some point, discussions get heated. On many a board, I've found myself upset when I'm not even IN a thread, just reading what other people have to say.

And maybe it's that Buffy appeals to a certain "group" of people or maybe it's that we realize that we're, at the core, discussing fiction. But, I NEVER feel that same feeling here. It's really an amazing place. I always feel like I can agree, disagree, come up with insane notions of why Vampires can or can't drown, pop in an admit I know virtually nothing about comic books in general and still feel like I'm part of the group.

Which, as I was telling my Aunt the other day, is truly amazing considering that this board really has such a variety of cultures and countries that many boards don't have.

I think it shows that EVERYONE on this board has something amazingly special!!!! It's just AMAZING! EVERYONE deserves a pat on the back!

Which, incidently, ties in with my next person who only recently came back from a long time away, Freakydorky.

When Freaky and I first started discussing away quite a while ago and as I recall, she didn't like me much, in fact I am reliably informed(from her) that she had a bit of a rant about me in her Dorm🙂

Eventually she saw the error of her ways and grew to love me like everyone else and with the exception of minor issues we became quite friendly and I miss her when she isn't here. She's a really nice girl someone I admire and ok we don't agree all the time, but I actually respect her opinion even if it is wrong.

Oh, I'm certainly not saying no one disagrees. They do. But, the disagreements I've seen never get bitter and angry. It seems to be more of a respectful disagreement than something that resorts to name calling and foul language. If only the eBay boards could stay as friendly.
I have seen some archived threads where apparently some bitter fights had happened prior to their posts. But, never really SEEN any fights that get ugly.
And when people HAVE disagreed with me. I've never felt like I'm about to get run out of town on a rail. Just that I'm wrong. It's very POLITE disagreements. Which I think is what keeps me coming back. Because I'm often wrong. It's nice to be wrong and be accepted for being that way!

im going to start with Buffy_obsessed_fan, as i was just talking to her this morning 🙂.

i think we started PMing after i replied to her in some anya-related thread. she PMed me, and we found out we both like anya, and tara as well, and we just started talking about buffy, and it was all uphill from there 🙂.
i remember she hadnt seen season 7 when we first started PMing, and then she saw it, and we had another thing to share love for: selfless! :woot:
she's a sometimes crazy/hyper/insane buffy fan, like me, which is awesome. she has a good sense of humour, and i enjoy our conversations very much. she is also very nice and sweet, which is why she was a shoe-in for li'l pumpkin belly 😀.

well, thats my brief little tribute to Buffy_obsessed_fan. tune in next time for another fabulous addition to SOF's ode to BB members :silly:.

Okay, I think I'm gonna steal BoTD's idea of handing out praise a little at a time so I have time to really think about what I want to post.

Well, as far as "Great Members" go, I've gotta point out Buffy Summers -- and not just cuz I'm a suck up. When I first joined this board, I figured Buffy Summers would be ensconced within her own personal bow window (surrounded by a bevy of adoring mods and established members, natch) and only occasionally deign to look out at we mere noobs. In hindsight, that was the work of dumb newbie nerves. lol.

Buffy Summers rocks. Not only does she keep Buffy alive for all of us by being our fearless leader and chasing people with shoes when we misbehave, but she's also imminently approachable. While chatting in the shoutbox one day, we discovered a mutual love of another show (General Hospital). Now, we PM one another kind of regularly and talk in the chatbox and stuff. The first time I chatted with her in the shoutbox, I was like "OMG! Buffy Summers is talking to little old me! Buffy freakin' Summers!" lol. In the forums, in the shoutbox, over PM, at the awards... Buffy Summers is always fun, always friendly, and unfailingly polite (even when members give her reason not to be). Without her, none of us would have met. A lot of us wouldn't have anyone with whom to discuss Buffy (or GH. lol). For all of these reasons and more, my first Great Members post has to go to Buffy Summers.

moving on...well...i guess i might as well go with palabravampiress as the next member who i give the praise he or she deserves, as i was just responding to her (not sure really what order to talk about everyone in here 🙂).

palabravampiress, i believe, i first got to know through the RPG. weird i dont remember as it wasnt too long ago. she is probably, like, one of the best writers in the world! no kidding! hence the RPG award she got. not only does she play TWO characters (xander AND indra), but she even writes great fanfics too (gordo fics), and they are all unfailingly wonderful! i only regret that my character is on an opposite end of the RPG so i havent gotten a chance to write with her much.
she's a fellow raidener, so, there's another plus right there 😀. also, she is a very kind person, with a lot of love for giles (not sure if thats relevant, but its certainly prominent, so i just felt it deserved including :silly🙂.

and there you have it: palabravampiress is another BBer who is just pure awesome 🙂.

I think the next one on my list has to be a 'HouseMate'.

NSlayMode, NSM or Kaylee Fray became a firm friend fast.

She shared my sense of humour, was always inviting anf doesn't shy away from the risque.
She has made me some wonderful banners over time(along with other people) and that has all been part of my stamped identity on this board,

Sadly she isn't around as much as she used to be, maybe its the fella in her life taking up her valuable time or indeed her kiddie.
She was often telling me of her little un, giving me an update on what is going on with the little tyke and what came through was how devoted a mother she really is.
I miss our late night conversations and want her back NOW.
