Green Day

I've noticed that in both the Favourite band and the Favourite Songs thread, everybody keeps talking about Green Day .... I've never heard of them, who are these guys (or girls)? and if they're so good, why aren't they famous in Europe? ... or did I just skip a chapter or two?

It's a punk band. They're fairly famous in North America but I'm not sure about Europe.

They are famous in Europe! They are an amazing punk/rock band.

It just all depends on what your music tastes are. I've been a fan for about 6 years now, so its not like they are a fairly new band.

Huh? ... I'm into punk/rock too, but I've never heard of 'em untill I joined these boards, so maybe they just skipped holland for some reason!

Okay I've downloaded some of their songs now and I must say they're not bad, and I have to admit, I've heard them before, "Basket Case" ... I liked the songs then, but I've never ever really noticed it! Anyway they're good!

green day are amazing! one of my fav bands. basket case and minority and brill! im learning them on guitar.
