possibly true... except the 'deadpool' in the movie was absolutely nothing to do or anything remotely like the character in the comics...

So, in that respect i'd say Reynolds failed epically as Deadpool, but that came down to the writing of the movie and not his fault

I don't have an issue with Ryan being in this role, I think he will do okay like he's a good actor so here's hoping he has what it takes. And he's hot so that's a plus, lol.

Off topic but... honestly I do not under any circumstances see Blake Lively as Carol... the line she delivered in the trailer.... all I can see is ekkk.
 
When I hear Reynolds I think of Burt Reynolds.
So yeah, this thread confused me big time before I realised it was some other Reynolds. lol

Can't recall seeing this Ryan guy. I'm sure he will be great though...

I'd actually go with Ryan Reynolds on this one. While I don't think he really fits the part, I think he could do it all better than DB. Plus, I like DB on Bones. I just wish Bones were on at a different time... Vampire Diaries is on at the same time, and two guesses which one I watch religiously.
 
Well that pic with DB wearing the Green Lantern logo? HOT! But with regards to RR, I so wanna see the movie but I just gotta get over the fact that Blake Lively plays a large part.
 
I honestly wasn't all that impressed with the Green Lantern movie. I mean, it was good, I like the intro to the mythology, but of all the superhero movies of late (Thor & Captain America in particular), it didn't compare.

However, my 4 year old and I did watch the animated Green Lantern: Emerald Knights with Nathan Fillion voicing Hal, and we really liked it! I loved listening to Nathan's voice! 🙂
