Listen to Greta!

Greta Thunberg, the 17-year-old Swedish environmental activist, is getting a series from BBC Studios’ Science Unit. Viewers will follow her global journey across the globe to map out the scientific evidence behind climate change, meet with leading scientists, and challenge just about everyone, including political leaders and business tycoons, to change.

The series, a name and official network for which have yet to be announced, will also highlight Thunberg’s journey into adulthood.

“Climate change is probably the most important issue of our lives so it feels timely to make an authoritative series that explores the facts and science behind this complex subject,” Rob Liddell, who will produce the series, said in a statement. “To be able to do this with Greta is an extraordinary privilege, getting an inside view on what it’s like being a global icon and one of the most famous faces on the planet.”

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️...What has the world come to ?

climate change denial is a pet peeve of mine, and the dismissal of greta's words and advice just because she's a child is something that's also really upsetting. hopefully this miniseries will allow more people to realize that she's speaking from a position of knowledge and care.

Not believing in Greta is not the same as climate change denial.
no, certainly not, but there's usually a significant amount of intersection, as from what i've seen the denial of greta's words is usually motivated from wanting to ignore the reality of climate change and seeing her age as a convenient way to dismiss her words and as an extension, the real threat climate change poses.

I don't disregard Greta's words because she is a child- I disregard them because she is a Swede. Never trust the Swede. First they try to take over the country with their Volva and then when that doesn't work they try Ericsson and when that fails they finally succeed with their damned Ikea. They are subtly attacking the hearts and minds of this great country and I won't stand for it any longer. I say no more! No more safe and reliable cars, no more economical and efficient phones, no more of those strange names on bookcases with those weird pictogram instructions. No more.

We'll keep the meatballs though, thank you very much.

Even if there is horse in them? ;)
A TV show featuring Greta Thunberg, I haven't seen it but I would consider that the climate change debate is being kept in peoples minds.
What worries me more is the members here referring to a 17 year old as a child.
