I admit I starting watching because I specifically wanted a long-running soap opera that I could easily discuss with people around me. I keep watching because it's the only soap opera I watch and I need diversity amidst all the comedies 😛
And I think the changing cast isn't necessarily a bad thing, because there only so much you can do with the same characters over 15 seasons. Even Meredith admits in several episodes that her life has been completely bonkers and everything has happened to her lol. She has been in a plane crash, she died (and those two incidents weren't even linked), she discovered multiple hidden half-siblings, one of whom died along with her husband and countless friends.
Imagine the restrictions in the creative process if the cast had remained the same throughout the whole series!

Christina is alive though. But they don't even talk anymore(well the writers kinda just stopped mentioning her). And that's sad. They were the reason I started watching the show. That friendship.

I am, but I'm not surprise.. All the couple I love in this show aren't endgame. Sometimes I would like to stop shipping because I'm mad to be invest in a relationship and then be disappointed because I don't have the ending I want.

I think the show is mainstream enough to attract not only fans but casual watchers as well. In France, every person that I know has seen at least a couple of episodes. It's on during lunch hour and certain evenings so people tune in. Same goes for Desperate Housewives and Friends.

Are you saying you think Grey's Anatomy is a kind of show that everyone can watch without necessarily being a fan ?

Same here! I was rooting for them even before they slept together for the first time. I was so sure it's gonna work out. But then Shonda just had to ruin my life. That happens with all her shows. They just spin out of control at some point. Like HTGAWM for example. They killed Wes, those bastards!

She ruined so many lifes 😱. But we can't take her talent from her, she is talented, she creates interesting character, make good storylines, but unfortunately for us she doesn't like happy ending. It's bad !

The US has a cottage industry in turning gays straight (called "conversion therapy") using some incentives to "pray the gay away". These are led by charlatans such as Marcus Bachmann who, along with his wife Michele, are reactionary Republicans who oppose gay marriage as well as abortion. Marcus Bachmann has a PhD with a concentration in clinical psychology but he is not a licensed psychologist in his home state of Minnesota. He gets government financial support but also tons of money from parents who are frantic that their child is gay and will do anything to change that. Michele was at one point a Republican presidential aspirant in 2012 but she was defeated in early polling within the Republican party.

I'm on season 12 episode 18

God, this season is really hard for Jackson and April. I ship them and I'm investing myself in their storyline but I have the feeling I woud be like a thousand times more invested in their story if I didn't know that April will leave the show at the end of season 14. Also, it's hard for me to imagine Jackson and Maggie together ?? like wtf I haven't see that yet but I know this is not for me !! I won't like it !

And I just finished season 12. Goodbye Callie Torres. I have lost interest in Calzona after Arizona cheated on Callie but still................................... i'm sad they don't have a happy ending. Callie will miss me !

Season 13 I'm here

I just finished season 13. The final was explosive, litterally. So Jerrika Hinton leaves the show and we have like "reasons" : "I don't want anymore to save people's lives, I wan to take care of mine, enjoy life you know...." 😉 euh okay............ Maybe they should try to turn that in another way. But at least Stephanie has an heroic departure, she saved this girl and she was so brave ! and the most important point : she didn't died and in Grey's Anatomy that's a miracle ! I like the actress and the character, I hope we will see her again.

So S14 is coming, I need to prepare myself for Jaggie 😡😡😡 urgh I already hate them. In fact in season 13 final episode I have noticed Maggie's feeling for Jackson, it's not like she tried to hide them but Jackson doesn't seem interest but I know he will be in a very soon future. What I hate is the conversation between April and Maggie :
April : "You like Jackson, and he likes you. Go ahead "! NO April, please I love you but shut your mouth, don't say stupid things like this. Don't pretent you are over Jackson because we know you and I that you clearly aren't because you slept with him two episodes ago !

So Megan, Owen's sister is back along with Teddy. First of All, TEDDY 😱😱😱 You missed me, we have tons of things to tell you.. And second, does that mean it's over between Meredith and Riggs ? **** this girl, I like them together. Seriously, it's nearly impossible to replace Derek and now that I'm finally ready to let enter someone in Meredith's life and this is someone I actually like, you tell me I was wrong !!!! Yeah, like I said, **** !!!

Just finished season 14. That's it, I'm up to date in Grey's Anatomy. I believe that this is the only series that I started and that I went to the end. In recent years I have watched a lot of shows but I always stop before the end because I did not like it anymore. I find that despite all things that I do not like in this series, it is still entertaining, interesting, it proposes intrigues that I like to watch, it sometimes pushes the reflection on current topics, there is something that gives me want to come back every time.
So yes I'm disgusted that April and Arizona are leaving, especially since I find their ends a little too hasty and it demotes the characters. April, who ends up recovering with Mathew and finally gets married to him ^^ whereas a few years ago she let him on the altar for Jackson. Arizona who suddenly realizes she loves Callie all the time, so yes I'm glad we're hoping for a happy ending for Calzona but it's so late, too bad. And I'm happy for Jo and Alex, though I'll always have a regret for him and Izzie.
And I love Derek and Merder but Meredith deserves to find again happiness. And Teddy is back, and I'm so happy !! Still don't like Maggie/Jackson though...
I will be here for season 15 !

I agree with you, especially April. They barely tells us that April is leaving and I don't know why they needed to do the accident storyline before just sending her away with Matthew.

Honestly, I think that if I didn't know the actress was leaving, I woudn't have understand that April quits the show. The accident is probably for add more drama but yeah it is pointless, but I loved this episode because of the Japril scene <3
