I love Groo! He could kill you all kinds of dead but he was just so friendly and polite! 🙂

Who else loves Groo? Come on...

I also love Groo. 🙂 He was such a sweetheart, and definitely the perfect boyfriend. Plus, he stayed dignified the whole time. Definitely a keeper. 😀

I love him too. I feel sorry that Cordy didn't love him. He's nice and sweet. He's like Riley of Ats. And he's very handsome after he got a haircut. (sw)

I always loved Groo... He was so sweet and he genuinely loved Cordelia. I felt horrible for him. And yes, Min, I agree that his role was similar to Riley's on BtVS. Awww...

Aww i loved Groo too. I felt so bad for him, Cordy totally used him.. she got bored with him so fast.
Mark Lutz is so lovely to speak to and also hilarious 😀, i wish we got to see more of Groo.

I always liked him more than Riley. I'm not sure why. I think he just seemed more mature. He didn't creep about behind Cordy's back, or force any ultimatums. He was smart enough to see the situation for what it was. He just always seemed so dignified. I liked that.

Why did he disappear?! I get he left when he realized Cordy loved Angel, but then they would have needed him couple times =P To be dead honest, I found him a little boring at times, and with you all comparing him to Riley, i'd have to add that at least Riley had some character development(even though most peoples didn't like the whole plot with him lol). Groo didn't stay long, he was a pretty simple character and I just hoped they could have made him more interesting. Bring him back later on and make him important to the plot maybe?

Groo didn't stay long

I love Groo. But I think he stayed too long and didn't do anything much. I feel like he supposed to be in only Pylean episodes and 2-3 eps of season 3. But turned out, he stayed with them till the S3 finale. I was like "wow".

Groo is nothing like Riley, lol.
Someone please point out the comparisons, because I don't see it.

Both loved woman that didn't love them back. Both can fight demons(But Groo is obviously stronger). And both is very nice and sweet. They're ideal guys for girls, but not for girls like Buffy and Cordy, lol.

I liked Groo but it made me disappointed most of the time that he seemed kind of flat, he never got much space. And I didn't like Angel make-over Cordy gave him, that was just silly and he looked better without it.

after the makeover, he looked childish
I've been trying to figure out for the longest time just who the character of Groo reminded me of, ine just a few minutes ago, it hit me. Groo is the reincarnation of Al Capp's Li'l Abner. For those of you too young to remember Abner and his friends,

Not totally identical, of course, but both were total innocents, with herculean strength, who somehow managed to survive quite well with no visible means of support, completely oblivious to the physically awesome image that they projected, and both raised in environments fully removed from our modern society. (Dye Daisie Mae's hair brown, and she could have made a pretty fair Cordy, too}

And if Groo is Li'l Abner, and Cordy is Daisy Mae, who could Angel be but...Fearless Fosdick? They both even dress all in black and "help the helpless."

Oh, I haven't watched an episode with Groo in it for ages. He was so strong and warrior type but so sweet and kinda naive at the same time! He was like Riley only I didn't hate him. I miss Groo. 🙁

I really liked Groo a lot in season 2, but I wish he hadn't come back in season 3. I was sooo mad when he came back at the end of "Waiting in the Wings" and ruined the serious Cangel vibe that they spent the entire episode building up. 🙁 I didn't mind him as a character, I thought he was very sweet and pretty much the perfect guy, but I just didn't like that fact that he got in the way of Cordy and Angel's relationship. I do respect him tho for recognizing that he and Cordelia didn't belong together, and doing the noble thing in leaving.
