Grounded?

God,I am sooo irratated,my parents grounded me and worse...I can hardly say it...banned me from the internet!!!!!lol...its not fair...well im actually not supposed to be on here now really...oh well...they said i had to be taught a lesson cuz of my "attitude" Grrrr Arrgg.... have you ever been grounded/banned from something and didnt understand why? ???
 
I was never grounded because my mother had to force me out the house. I was a good child really, ok so technically not true I just never got caught doing something that I shouldn't have 😉 I learned quick to keep my mouth shut and not give any attitude back to my parents, and then as soon as I came back upstairs I would curse so badly.
 
I remember being grounded a couple of times but I knew why I was grounded, lying about my whereabouts and drinking liquor when I was not 18 yet! I got busted custard!

But my mum used to always feel really bad about grounding me cause I was just being a teenager so she used to take me out for lunch and dinner and stuff to make herself feel better so really it wasn't bad at all. I'm sure she did the same things when she was young. The worst was when she would just look at me and say "I'm disappointed with you" and then walk away........man that really sucked. I would have rather been punished then get that look! ::uh::
 
Not yet..Everything's before me🙂 I'm really good at keeping my opinions to myself so my mum can't punish me coz there's no reason for it🙂
 
I have been grounded a couple of times but not for anything big. Only stuff like fighting with my little brother and not tidying my room lol 😀. i was actually a good kid lol belive it or not 😀
 
Good girl here too. But like Faith, it's only appearances. Never give attitude, get's you nowhere, it's better to just let them ramble on, while I drift of into my own imagination. But luckily, I've not been caught too often. I've done quite a lot of "naughty" thigs that if anybody knew about, would get me grounded for life (seriously). But I'm smart enough to not let anybody find out.
 
I hardly never get grounded cause I always get out of it..but i get banned frm the internet most of the time for being cheeky and late for skool all the time..
 
appart from being cheeky sometimes I am a good girl..lol...but yeah,I do tend to keep my opinions to myself but they say I give attitude to my sister-shes seven...and she always gets me into trouble.I think my parents just had enough of all of it so they punished me but NOT my sister...lol
 
I'm a good girl. I only get in trouble for hitting my brother, and getting on my moms nerves when i'm hyper.
 
I used to get in trouble alot as a child, but (even as an adult, I can see this) my parents were completely unreasonable. Buit they did know the best way to get to me-punishing me from hanging out with the man who would eventually be my hubby 🙂
 
I've only been grounded for poor grades and forgetting to call when I'm a little late. I don't think you can really count them though because my mom only says "your grounded" to be threatening. She never follows through and a hour later I'm back to normalcy. She sends me to my room a lot for talking back and again that's for only a few minuets. Just have to wait for her to calm down.

Thats excalty how it happens with me. I never seem to stay grounded for more than an hour. But what I HATE is when they say "You better straighten up on this attutiude problem of yours and im like WHAT ATTUITUDE PROBLEM! " Lol
 
my parents are pissed off at me for no reason all the time i get grounded for lying talkin back, bein mean to my sis, being disrepectful and breathing lol
 
I was grounded once, it was in highschool around the time I was a sophmore I believe. My curfew (parent's rule) was midnight and I didn't get home until one o'clock. I was hanging out with my boyfriend so I was grounded from seeing him a whole week. I was able to talk with him on the phone though, so it was not too bad. I NEVER broke my parent's curfew again!

The worst time I was every grounded: The night before my seventeenth birthday, I did not come home until 2 am (so, technically it was my birthday). I got grounded and did not get to go out with my friends on my birthday. Sucky. Let's say that I always remembered to call when I was going to be late after that.

But, yeah. Grounding sucks. But be patient. The day will come when you can not be grounded because you make your own decisions. And it's great.
 
I was grounded so much as a kid that by the time I was 16 and we moved back to my dads I was on my own...but it was nice that way...except with the dropping out of school...but that's what GED's are for...especially when your having a mental breakdown...but that's another story. ::mmm::
 
I don't even remember the last time I was grounded. I know better than to be a smart ass with my parents. The only time I ever really get in trouble is if I don't do the dishes right or forget to do laundry, or when Mom's having one of her "moments" where she's just pissy. Then I just stay out of her way to avoid getting griped at. The "go to your room" thing never worked for me, 'cause I enjoyed my room! I have a habit of forgetting to turn my phone on, or not answering it - that's always an issue. But anything that I've done that I would be in great danger of being grounded for, my parents haven't found out. Not even the incident with the cop...*wink*
