Hey all
Theres this really small thing thats bugging me to extremes. Call me petty if you want but i feel like Buffy's not really there for Willow:

- "The Prom" - Angel dumps Buffy. So she goes back to Willow where she tells her everything. Willows response = BIG HUG

- "Something Blue" - Oz has all his possessions sent to him by Devon. Distraught Willow cries her eyes out and all Buffy did was sit there and stare at her

grrr

NO SPOILERS please. I'm only up to season 4 episode "Doomed"

Did you forget Buffy's BIG HUG in "Wild At Heart" after Oz killed Veruca? I think she already did the best for Willow.

BUT in fairness, the Oz is definitely gone situation is a 'BIG HUG' moment also.

I guess though, its a matter of comfort, what someone feels comfortable doing and Buffy occasionally lets people in but mostly has a barrier between them and her.

Lol, I understand. Sometimes Buffy's busy so she doesn't have time for friends. Like in this "Something Blue" episode, she had to find Spike. 😀

But i think her friends come before Spike. He's "impotent" at this point. So i would have thought she'd take time out to be with her friend?

Like EB said, she has this slayer thingy as a barrier. And Spike's escaping was really important. He can lead them to The Initiative. For me, Buffy did her best. And this was already 3 weeks after Oz left. I think Buffy comforted her enough behind the scene between those times. 😛

Can i just say how much i love the picture you have of Buffy and Faith.

I just thought how blunt yet funny it would be if Buffy actually staked Spike in Something Blue. What would you're reaction have been like if she staked him and then fell in love with a pile of dust

Thanks. I like my banner too. 🙂

I think she's gonna be so sad if she staked him right before Willow said "Why don't you marry him". She's gonna go "Where is my groom!!? What did I do!".

By the way, I'm afraid we're off topic about Willow and Buffy friendly comfort???

right...sorry...

Did anyone else notice how, in previous seasons, whenever Willow opened up to Buffy about her feelings about Xander, Buffy kept relating back to herself and Angel. People argue that she was sharing experience, but poor willow ends up having to sit there, listen and give advice

ya ive noticed that a few times 2

I actually haven't noticed Buffy being too cold, but there's definitly a barrier there.

Willow is more the hug-type. Doesn't mean Buffy isn't there for her, but Willow seems to be more hugable(nice to hug) and hug-able(daring to hug) sometimes.

I might just be making excuses for Buffy, since she's The Leader/The Hero, which sterotypically means she should be more reserved.(I might have watched to many action movies where the hero is a stone cold matcho-man)

Btw, MinwareYana's banner is totally awesome. It's the most awesome banner EVAR. 😉

Haha :)
I noticed that, but I also noticed in Season 2 after Angel changed to Angelus, Willow kept seeking advice from Buffy about dating Oz...which I thought was pretty insensitive and odd, considering what Buffy was going through.

Friendships are a give and take. At times, people take more than other times.
