Question Guaranteed Tear Jerkers?

I was watching The Gift the other day and it started me thinking.

Now no matter how many times I watch this episode, when it gets to the end when Buffy is talking to Dawn, I start to cry.... in fact wail like a baby would be more like it! I don't know why but everytime it just gets me.

So I was wondering if there are any episodes of shows or any films that are guaranteed to make you shed a tear?

A Hole in the World.
I have never watched that episode with crying my eyes out. I am a major Fred fan (I'm even changing my name to Fred) so it's kind of obvious why I would cry so much.
Also, A film called My First Mister. It's actually rather cheesy and silly but I love it so much probably because I relate a lot to the main character and can really understand her emotions throughout the film.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button made me cry like a little man-baby. I was a wreck. It was horrible. Although, I doubt this was the same for everyone else who saw it...I'm just easily sent to tears.

I've never cried, or even gotten choked up at any episode of "Buffy," or "Angel," but there are certain movies that I absolutely refuse to watch ever again. Three of them are "Goodbye, My Lady," "Old Yeller," and "The Voice Of Bugle Ann," all stories about someone losing a beloved dog, and "The Yearling," about a boy losing a pet deer. I'm just a sucker for animal stories. (Oh, and recently, "Marley And Me" has joined the list of "never again" movies)

Although, a friend of mine (not me) tears up when he watches The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid.

I've not shed a tear since childhood, but there's two things that will at least form a lump....the ending to the saddest film in movie history, "The Champ" (1979) starring Jon Voight (if this thing doesn't tear you up, then I suggest you head on over to Oz to see the Wizard, because you have no heart), and to a lesser degree, the whole "it's not enough time" scene from the Angel episode "I Will Remember You".

The one that's always guaranteed to dissolve me into bawling my eyes out is the last 15 minutes of A.I.. The moment the android boy looks at the Blue Fairy in the submerged theme park, my flood gates open wide and won't close again until the credits roll in.

I always cry in 'The Gift.' Can't help it. 'The Body' is also really difficult for me to watch.

That scene in 'Passion' where Giles calls Willow and tells her that Jenny's dead, that Angelus killed her...the look on Buffy's face is heartbreaking. It's like the pain of knowing Angel is really *gone* is painted right on her face.

Also, for me, there's something really sad about the scene in the hallway in "Helles Belles" when Buffy and Spike are talking about Xanya's wedding. Spike asks her if she misses him and if it hurts, and she says "Sometimes." That always gets me. He looks so hopeful, yet so crushed. This scene seems to go over most fans heads, but I think it's one of the saddest in the series, or at least between Buffy and Spike. That smile Buffy gives him after she says her dress is radioactive seems to me like the first real, authentic smile she'd done since she got brought back. It's the first time they've seen each other since she left him, and the awkwardness is so thick you could cut it with a knife. There is so much longing in Spike but you also get a large feeling of regret and sadness coming from Buffy. It's those little moments that I love so much about them, where so much can be conveyed in exchanging looks between the two, and muttered words.

The two just get me, I guess.

I cry, a lot. I'm a big baby! The Notebook has me absolutely bawling like a baby. I literally could not stop crying for like half an hour.

That and The Lion King - 'Dad, dad? Wake up.' *chokes*

I cry at far too many things to list. I have real trouble detaching myself from TV and films, and books actually. I always put myself in that position and then I'm a goner.

Oh and the notebook, and Marley and me, and Chosen from Buffy.

There's so many films that i've cried to, can't be bothered thinking of them all, i'm too tired ;D

Buffy Summers agrees: Oh god I can't watch animal movies. I cried the whole way through Tarzan and during the PREVIEW for Lion King!

Lmao. I'm the same. My parents still won't watch animal programmes/documentaries with me because I cry when the animals eat each other or get hurt or die or something.

I'm a BIG baby when it comes to animals. I have never hit anything with my car, I will always stop, even for sparrows and stuff, until they are completely out my way. I saw a dead hedgehog on the way to work the other day and nearly cried.

Which reminds me - Fox and the Hound cut me up so much as a kid, I can't bring myself to watch it again.

Oh God, The Fox and the Hound scarred me for life. Even though it is still one of my favorite Disney films.

But, I too, cannot stand movies where animals die. I watched The Ring the other day, and I almost had to stop when the horse killed itself. WTF.

Other than that, I cried during "The Gift", "Seeing Red", "You're Welcome", and "Chosen."

I would have cried during "A Hole in the World", but it was so damn sudden I didn't have enough time to bring myself out of shock before the episode ended.

I cried when I watched the Wizard of Oz, because i felt so sorry for the lion...i was younger then, though.
Recently, I watched My Sisters Keeper. It may not be that god (I, personally, loved it) but it was just made to make you cry.
Also, whenever I'm by myself at night (which is often, sad I know), I always cry in the Episode's where Angel leaves Buffy, where Riley leaves, and of course The Gift.
I also think I cried during I Will Remember You.
I do cry a lot, there are way more then these...but crying is so fun!

The ending of The Gift always makes me cry. It's so incredibly sad and the music in the scene makes it even more sad!

Anyways I don't think I've ever cried at a film more than I have cried at Marley & Me. I was crying like a baby in the cinema, it was quite embarrassing haha.
