IGN: Top 25 Sci-Fi TV Babes - The Final Five
Thanks to my Oh No They Didn't lurkin' skills, I found this awesome list. (;
-----------
1. Buffy Summers

The Slayer is proof-positive that one doesn't need lazer guns or logic-spouting aliens to bleed over into a sci-fi context. Remember, at the beginning of our trek across the known Babe galaxy, we said that if Blockbuster can put Buffy in the "Sci-Fi Section", then so can we. And justifiably so. While broadening the range of what science fiction usually incorporates, the girl made "girl power" cool, if not a terrifying responsibility and power in the hands of a sixteen-year-old girl. What could have been just another high schooler who spouts wit and stakes monsters-of-the-week, turned into a tragic hero.

Still not convinced? Fine. You try loving the one thing your purpose on this earth says you have to kill, and then deal with your vampire boyfriend going ten different kinds of evil on you because you slept with him, gave him a moment of pure bliss the curse on his soul says he cannot have, and then see if you have the sterner stuff to fight the not-so-good fight "“ for a total of seven. Years.

Buffy may not have been abducted by aliens, or assimilated by Borg, or even know what "DRAIDUS contact" means, but she knows what it takes to be a hero. She knows what it takes to be more than just a pretty face and killer of those that kill. And whatever that is, it's enough for the number one slot.

I still think Faith is hotter, but I'm a straight girl, so maybe it's just me.
Yay for Buffy!

Well, my vote would've gone to Faith or Willow, but then again, Buffy's the best-known character and most obvious candidate...

Regardless of my opinion, YAY, BUFFY!

Faith's there, too, but she's a little further back down the line, 8th, I think.

Ah, you're right! Good to see that they recognized her babe-ness, even though she's not one of the major characters. I also spotted River Tam at #15 (and Summer Glau's SCC character at #10. Well done and well deserved!)

Just thought I'd mention that I was VERY happy to see them call Charmed "Buffy for dumb people." Ain't that the truth?

I LOVE what they said about Charmed...made me smile:)
I'm actually somewhat ashamed of my gender for placing a cartoon (Aeon Flux) above a real person, and in the top 5 no less.
Jessica Rabbit was modeled on a real person at least.
But... this was a video gamer's poll so what can you expect when Laura Croft caused so much bathroom time for them.

Way to go Buffy! Anf Faith! And Summer! (Hmm, why do I use her real name?) But in my book Willow always come first.

Maybe because "Go, River!" sounds more like you're cheering for a body of moving water?
lol. Yes, it makes much more sense cheering on a season. 😉

 Shame on me! I totally posted a comment on that thing cuz some gobshite had the audacity to ask how Buffy was so much more intellectually stimulating than Charmed! I totally took the bait! Baaad Kean!

Cool, both Buffy and Faith are on the list. And I'm kinda shcked about how many sci-fi characters I know. I'm such a geek, lol.

Wow...I know I've been posting here a lot, but I finally finished looking through the entire list, and thought I'd mention two other Whedonverse girls...Inara (at #21) and Saffron (honorable mention.) I guess Joss' shows all have ridiculously good-looking casts.

I wonder if someone will do a male version of this list. Spike and Angel would probably be pretty high up on it.
