List Of People Coming Back This Season

Drusilla - Episode 8 (Destiny)
Lindsey McDonald - Episode 10 (TBA)
Andrew - Episode 11 (TBA)
Cordelia - Episode 12 (TBA)
Willow - Episode TBA (TBA)

Now that you summarise it like that, it seems less.

Correction: in Episode 10, Christian Kane will return, but so far it seems that he's not playing Lindsey, it seems his character is names Sean.

Lindsey tells Spike his name is Sean. But Spike has never met Lindsey so he doesn't know any better. It is Lindsey. Why would they bring back an actor 2 years are he left to play a different character? I don't know why Lindsey is giving Spike a fake name but we will find out soon enough.

Well from what is know so far about this episode, there are no indications that this character actually is Lindsey. Though I have to admit, it seems only logical to me too that it is! I think we might get to see more of him later on this season perhaps!

Lindsey was in last night's episode, Destiny. www.tvtome.com credits Christian as Lindsey, but for ep. 10, they list Christian Kane as Sean. Does anyone know for sure if it's Sean or Lindsey?

AWWWW, No REAL Buffy? Like no dreams? Real Buffy? Well, that sux, but I see how they wanna wait for the 6th season...

It's confusing. During S3, it was either Connor or Steven. Now he's called Connor, but we might as well be calling him Steven.

First of all, why would Joss cast an actor in a different role when the actor's former character was so well-known? I think it's just Lindsey 'cause Sean may just be his alias for people (or vampires) that have never met him before.

Could some familiar faces be heading over to Angel? Some quite new statements on Sarah, Aly and co.

E!online's Watch with Kristin columnist cornered various interested parties at the Angel hundredth episode birthday bash, and asked if we could expect any other Buffy cast members to visit LA.

"I know having James Marsters over now has been great for us," said David Boreanaz. "And I'm sure there'll be some other people popping in." Who? "You'll have to wait and see."

Creator Joss Whedon also gave his thoughts:

"Alyson Hannigan obviously was on the show last year, and that was a lot of fun," he said. "We just love having her, and Willow is somebody I'd love to see again on the show. Buffy, you know, that's sort of up to her [Sarah Michelle Gellar]. If she's interested in doing an episode, obviously we'd always make room. There's two guys on the cast who are in love with her, so it's not like she doesn't have anything to play, but it's really her call."

Another person wanting Willow to return is Alexis Denisof (Wesley), but then as Mr Alyson Hannigan he's perhaps a bit biased:

"I think what this show really needs is a redhead," he said. "For me, it's becoming personally offensive that we aren't representing that group. There's only one redhead in Hollywood, so naturally they should hire my wife. I just can't believe there hasn't been an organized movement."

O yea I read this. Nice comment DB made about JM and I totally agree with him. Alexis was so funny about Aly. They all seem like such nice ppl. I wouldn't mind being on that set!

thanks for posting this, David always says the same thing about James now whenever he basically talks about James and wow Joss keeps on saying the same thing over and over agian in interviews. I wonder whats going on in his head

It's still better than 'no comment'.I hope to see Willow this season and Faith,Buffy will have to wait I guess...

All the threads that talked about characters reappearing on Angel have all been merged into this thread, because Magui did start this original thread about ALL the characters that might be appearing on Angel 🙂

Personally I'd love to see Alyson on the show, maybe even as a permanent fixture too. The eppy she did last year was good and she fitted in with the cast so well, I think there's definitely a place for her there, as they haven't really got a specific magic user. Who knows, maybe it will happen. 😀

Old friends visit Angel

Old Friends Visit Angel

Joss Whedon, co-creator of The WB's vampire series Angel, told SCI FI Wire to expect familiar faces as the current fifth season winds up, including Andrew (Tom Lenk from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) and the possible return of Connor (Vincent Kartheiser). Kartheiser's character-the son of Angel (David Boreanaz) and Darla (Julie Benz)-left the series at the end of last season after Angel made a deal with the nefarious law firm of Wolfram & Hart.

Whether Kartheiser returns depends on scheduling and other issues, Whedon said in an interview at the television critics' winter press tour in Hollywood. "We do have every intention of seeing him again and seeing the Connor who did grow up happy, who had everything that he never had and what that person would be like and what it would be like for Angel to deal with him knowing what Connor can never know," Whedon told reporters.

Lenk, whose nerdy character survived the apocalyptic finale of Buffy last spring, will definitely show up in a Slayer-themed episode due in February, Whedon said.

And, as previously reported, Carpenter's Cordelia will return to wrap up her character's storyline in the series' 100th episode, "You're Welcome!" which is schedule for Feb. 4. "That's very much kind of an opportunity to sum up and sort of go, 'Good lord, we've been doing this for a while,'" Whedon said. "And without being sly and postmodern about it and winking at the audience, really using it as a milestone and having her-because she was there at the beginning-come and say, 'Well, where are you now? Where were you when we started, and where are you now and how do you feel about that?'"

One face that definitely won't appear on Angel this season: Sarah Michelle Gellar's Buffy, Whedon said. "Sarah last year said that she would be interested in coming on the show," he said. "And then this year, she ... said that it felt too soon. And that's something that I actually understand. It's very difficult when you throw something off that's sort of taken over your life and your public persona for years and years and years, ... it's very difficult to just sort of say, 'OK, I'm going to throw that back on on somebody else's show and dive in again.' And I think that's probably what happened."

Whedon added, "I don't know that it's a never. ... It was more just like, 'Now's not the time.' And as writers, we have to go to our own characters and care more about that. And so it isn't ... bad, I don't think. ... I would love to see her on the show, and she's welcome anytime she decides she is ready. But I don't know if that will happen, and with a cast like that, it's not my first priority." Angel returns with new episodes Jan. 14 and airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
