why is gunn so strong???? could the powers that be have anything to do with it? he could probably beat up buffy!

Gunn doesn't have an super powers, he's just tough, and smart, and has grown up in a world that forced him at a young age to learn how to take care of, and defend himself... especially once he started running into vamps and such. He's pretty much taught himself how to be a fighter.
And his experience, smarts, and toughness are what make him a good fighter. But he's not super strong, and Buffy is much stronger, and could probably beat Gunn up, cause she's pretty much got all he does (experience, smarts, toughness), but she's also super strong. But most vamps anyway, that they run into in LA, are really stupid vamps, and thus Gunn can kill them fairly easy, cause while they may be a bit stronger, he's a lot smarter and more cunning then they are, and that's how he can win against all those run of the mill vamps. Now set him against smarter vamps (such as Darla, Spike (pre chip), Angelus) and Gunn might likely get himself dead... Cause his 'smart' card doesn't work, cause they are just as smart and cunning as he is, if not more so...
