Gwen Raiden: The Underrated Character

I know cant wait to see her in the new comic books, cos shes awesome!
 
To be honest the last time I saw Gwen was when it aired live for the first time... haha, what eps was she in?
 
"Ground State", where she's introduced. "Long Day's Journey", when she teams up with Team Angel to battle The Beast. "Players", when she cons Gunn into escorting her to a bigwig's party where she can steal that device that will ground her, let her touch people.
 
I miss Gwen... really loved her (even had her as one of the four chars in my previous banner, if you remember), not only for her looks (though that, too) but for that whole lonely, untouchable freak gone rogue story. I found her really underused - so disappointing they never brought her back in S5!
 
Yeah i really liked her too, reminded me of Rogue from X-men (you know i made sure i was correct with the spelling there...)
 
Gwen is bad, really shit, haha, i'll zap you with my lightning, ooooooooh. hahahahahaha
 
I didn't like Gwen. She was too X-men, first of all, and also too bad-heist-movie. I didn't understand why she kissed Angel, either. Really, she showed up for a few sub-par moments that didn't seem to fit within the established mythology, then they whisked her off to the land of forgotten characters along with people like Dru and Oz.

Bonus: she got Gunn to dress up all sexy in a suit. I'll give the girl props for that. I'm a real sucker for Gunn in a suit.

Wow, that's a "mark-red-in-the-calendar" moment. I actually deeply disagree with palabra. (not enough to give out bad karma, of course) 😀

Ever so slightly off topic but the point I want to make is so small it seemed silly to start a whole new thread. I'm new by the way so if this has already been discussed- I'm sorry! I did do a search but couldn't spot anything. So here goes...aherm...does anyone else think that Gwen looks incredibly similar to Glory from Buffy? It took me a few minutes to really be certain it wasn't her and even then from certain angles I would be wondering if it was the same girl using a different voice and hair.

OH MY WORD!!!!! DUDE!!! I said the SAME thing and everyone laughed at me. Don't worry... they cant chuck fruit at both of us. I wholly agree.

I don't mind as long as it's not rotten, I quite fancy a nectarine if anyone's taking requests!

I can't post the links to imdb (need more posts under my belt) but there are pics of Clare Kramer with dark(ish) hair up and the resemblance is pretty striking. The only really major facial difference (other than colouring) is that Clare has a more pointed chin.

I think they look pretty similar, mostly pretty.
 
Whoa, never consciously noticed that before! They could be sisters! (I still hold that Alexa is the prettier sister though 😉 )
 
Yeah, i liked Gwen. Felt liked she just walked out of a comic book. Electro- Girl. A Storm/Rogue vibe. Not a bad thing.
