Was looking for pictures of SMG (for a reason, unlike the usual "ooh Sarah's pretty") and I noticed this article:

It's an article from a magazine called "NW", it's about Sarah cutting her hair in season six and how it could spell trouble for her (turned out false) but the second page has a series of actors who have cut their hair and how it affected their career.

It seems stupid that people could get in trouble for cutting their hair. Also surprised that Alyssa Milano wasn't on their, with her haircuts of wonder.

I've read somewhere about it..All actors when signing contracts are in most cases oblidged not to change their appearance for some time...Strange to me..

Well there was one around 2.04 which was kinda weird, then one a few episodes later (Guise will be Guise I think because they had to reshoot some scenes and her hair changes). Then I think it lightened a bit, then got a bit shorter towards the end of the year, then I think got cut again when she was on holiday, then towards the end of series 3 it was darker. Dunno about season 4.

Cordy's the kind of person that would change her hair lots, but I prefer the S1 look.

I think that is sort of dumb, because an actor/actress shines on stage with their ability to convey emotion and give something back to the audience - not their hair size.

Lol, it's like, if someone thinks you shouldn't cut your hair because it will ruin your career, than they have issues. Acting is not about looks, it's about the energy the actors eminates. The media is so superficial!

I cant believe that the show would suffer just because the star got their hair cut! i mean thats just rediculous!!!

lol and i totally agree with you AshSan about the Alyssa Milano thing i mean i hate her new hair and i cant believe that she cut it!!!

Charisma had been known to say that the first cut in Season 2 was an attempt to look more mature as Cordelia was maturing, but that she hated it, hence the shorter, lighter, chop down a couple of episodes later.

Hmm well to some extent I could see why Networks might get upset. If you were hired to play a blonde vampire slayer and you get a super-short 'do and dye it dark brown, well that probably wouldn't fly.

I don't have any problem with what Jennifer Aniston, SMG, or Sarah Jessica Parker did. The styles still worked really well with their characters.

However, I could see Networks being ticked if they cut them filming mid-episode, like Shannen Doherty and Kerri Russell did. That's just thoughtless and IMO there SHOULD be repurcussions as now it's costing networks money (wigs, episode re-writes and re-shoots).

One of the things you lose when you become famous is your freedom. If a network is paying you 1 million an episode, yeah well I think not cutting your hair without permission is a small price to pay.

I think it's stupid when critics think that show ratings suffer because actors change their looks. The only case in which I find this true is with Keri Russell and Felecity. The ratings did really drop after she cut her hair off. But I gotta admit she looked pretty bad with that hair cut. Sarah's hair cut look cute, her hair was short in season 2 as well.

Yea I remember in the episode "Where thew wild things are" and Xander was like 'people are going all felecity with their hair' and I askedmy sis and she said when Felecity cut her hair the ratings went very low, and I didnt get it, its like whe alyssa Milano cut her hair a while ago I hated it, but I still love her and continue watching charmed. So thats kinda weird for it to make a big difference.

I really liked Sarah's hair in Cruel Intentions and the Season 2 hair was pretty good too.

I agree, Cordy has had some bad hair, but she looked hott in S5 'Your Welcome'
