What's the most extreme/interesting/weird thing you've done with your hair?

I've colored mine various shades of red since high school. (Really pretty!)
I've bleached it. (Also really pretty, but it changed the texture of my hair for the worse.)
I once went the better part of a year without shampooing it. (Gross at first, but it helped my hair in the long run.)

Tonight, I'm going to be henna-ing it. Hopefully, it will turn a vibrant copper shade. I also hope that the henna won't react badly with the residual bleach still in my hair and turn it green.

Do you have any interesting hair experiences to share?
 
I'm a guy, so I don't do much with my hair. But A few years ago, I grew my hair, because of my taste in music, of course 😛
It was about two 65 cm (about 25.6 inches) long when I decided to have it cut, because, let's face it, long hair is a lot of work. Many people I know assumed it had something to do with a personality change or change of my taste in music or something. It was quite annoying, because nothing had changed. But I don't regret my decision. It's also easier at metal and rock concerts where there's a lot of pushing.

Long hair is difficult, but I miss it. I'm growing mine out, since I can always put it into a ponytail if it gets annoying.
One more thing: I had bangs cut. Twice. It was a mistake the first time, and it was a mistake the second time.
 
Four years ago I shaved my head. Everything. Gone.
 
I've cut it short. I've shaved it bald. I grew it out. I've had it long. I've braided it in multiple ways. Wore it a few ways and a few styles. I mostly now just do nothing and let it be...cut it every so often
 
Hmmm

I've had it almost all cut off, close to shaved. I've had it most colours of the rainbow and different lengths....Dreaded perms have been done... now I'm dying it dark brown to desperately cover the grey lol...
 
I've had it shaved before! (or almost all shave, it was shaved on one side and very short on the other). Now my hair is down to my butt, I need to do something with it lol Maybe I'll raise some money for cancer than shave/donate it.
 
I've had my head shaved a few times, but that was for charity. I used to ask them to shave my eyedows as well, many people thought that was a bit extreme, not me though as my glasses stayed clean.
 
The henna came out beautifully. I've never been seen such a gorgeous shade, not in all the years I've colored my hair red. It's like blood, copper, and wine all mixed together. The bleached parts are simply a lighter shade of red than the rest is. This is fabulous! And it feels like silk.

...Now I can say that piling gobs of henna-and-lemon-juice, which looked like dog poop, on my head and wearing a shower cap over it for 3 hours while watching Buffy is the weirdest thing I've done to my hair. But it worked! I'm thrilled.
 
OK, I'm really going to date myself, and this is embarrassing, but I once had a tail. In the early '90s, in grad school. With a bob and a perm. Sigh.

I colored it burgundy once. But that's about it. I started getting gray in my 20s, so I've colored since then, but mostly stay close to my natural hair color. I've never shaved it or anything like that. I envy people with a face shape that can do anything with their hair; I like those assymetrical cuts or short 'dos, but I couldn't pull it off.
 
I have naturally very thick and wavy hair, which seems to take about a day and a half to dry. I get it from my dad who still has the biggest thickest hair I've ever seen on a white guy.
 
I shaved my head once. It was a pretty radical change cause I've always had relatively long hair and it's one of the first things people tend to notice/comment on about me.

It's a much more brilliant shade of red in person, but I've attached a photo so you can see how my hair turned out. I'm wearing my new Spike shirt.

I love messing with my hair! Lol I used to get my hair braided all the time in high school (Alicia Keyys phase lol) I have naturally jet black curly hair but I usually straighten it. I did leave it curly most of the summer though. I've had blonde streaks and then it was bright red (it wasn't supposed to come out like that, my friend messed it up smh) right now its dyed honey blonde (which I had to bleach it to get it that color cause my hairs so dark) but the roots are starting to come in and I'm trying to figure out what I wanna do with it next. I was thinking chestnut brown and side bangs...

A friend of mine braids hair. She offered to do mine once, but we realized it wouldn't be worth it. All those hours of braiding, and thenday or two later my hair would be so oily I'd have to undo all her work.
I've done a lot of things with my hair as well. I'm a natural blonde but I've dyed it every (natural) color I could find. Right now it's red on top and black underneath. The "craziest" my hair has ever been was very similar to this, although I had blonde highlights at the same time. I did all three colors at once so I had to hot oil my hair for like a week afterward. I (and my husband) hate my hair short so it's pretty long. And I hate bangs. I think that's it 😉
