I remember having an American flatmate when I was a student in the UK, and we discussed (my lack of) shaving at some point. She said that it sounded nice not to worry about that, but that she'd stand no chance of getting a boyfriend or even a date if she sported hairy legs. That the female body in it's natural state is considered such a bad thing annoys me no end.

What's so provoking about women who choose not to remove body hair?

My legs at the moment are really hairy... I look kind of like a wolf. I shave because I honestly think it looks better... plus it feels REALLY cool to rub your newly shaven legs against each other. But I'm not one of those people who shaves all the time, and I will wear shorts and/or skirts and dresses with hairy legs. I shave when I want to.

I don't shave my legs very often. But when I do, it feels so much better. I actually shave my armpits more.:P
For pure comfort alone, I shave and honestly I do think it looks better shaved. But each woman to her own. Smooth skin just works best for me.

This is a but funny since in VH... Nah, lets skip that.

Changes happens so fast. I'm old I guess. I feel like I've lived all through no one shaving to if you don't shave more or less everything you're disgusting. As someone not being fond of his own body hair you'd might think that I "demand" that females shave. I don't. I say let everyone do what they want.

I've had girls saying that they feel disgusting and that I or no one else for that matter will love them unless they shave. So not true but I'm aware that especially males too often go around with an attitude of "If she doesn't shave she isn't worth having". Way too prove that you're shallow. I do have preferences. Don't everyone? But it's never a deal breaker. Maybe because I'm not interested in short time relationships or one night stands. If I care for someone it's who they are that's important, everything else comes after.

What is so provocing about hairy women? It can't be that they show confidence in who they are can it? For some reason body hair is now thought of as dirty (and not in the good way) and a bad hygiene is rarely attractive. If you hear something often enough you start to believe it. At some point it'll change back but the question is when.

:-) Tried to rep you before, but got server problems.
I didn't see the picture before... armpits are a different issue for me. I hate my armpits being hairy. About a month ago, I was like "it's winter, I'm not going to wear a sleeveless top or dress so I'm not going to buy a new razor head and just do whatever with my armpits." I couldn't do it... Within a week and a half I was so annoyed with my hairy armpits... I couldn't sleep because I could feel the hair. So I went to the store, stocked up on razor heads and shaved them. They bother me so that's why I do it. I also really don't like other people's hairy armpits. I think armpit hair is so gross.

Oh I totally get that. I didn't mean to say that you should be patient.

Sorry, techinally not unhygienic' but i guess that's the stupid stereotype about girls who don't shave. We iz brainwashed!!! haha :p

I am totally this. And my post is too short.

You actually do not get the stubble.. or at least with certain shavers I do not. Darla and I had this conversation long time past in chat.. lol

Personally, i can't shower or have a bath without shaving. I mean c'mon, it's only going to take a few minutes to spare....
I just don't get how people can go without shaving. And sorry but it does sound rather unhygienic. I even shave my legs when there's no hair to be seen, just a habbit i suppose LOL.
I don't think i ever leave a shower/bath without having some sort of cut on my legs tbh. LOL Only 'cause i do it so often and that fast without thinking. Anyways....
Hairy woman = yuck, sorry. But again, it's every womans choice. I just prefer smooth and hair free bodies. (on woman anyway)

Why is it unhygenic - it's not as if you mind having hair on your head?

I can't take a shower without shaving either! Lol It drives me insane!
I shave. I can't remember the last time when I was hairy. I really hate hair. I mean, I'm not disgusted when I see it on someone else, it's their choice, but me, I can't live with it..

Yes yes yes!
I don't like the feeling of hairy legs. It's really itchy. I can't explain why, but when I haven't shaved for a few days, my legs get really itchy.

Actually, if we're talking about dirt, I'd rather not think about what our head hair gets subjected to of pollution and stuff.
Armpits needs to be shaved, I don't care about other peoples armpits but if mine aren't smooth I'll go crazy 😉... the legs are kinda whatever, I'm not that hairy anyway so it doesn't really matter...

lucky you
Honestly I shave when I have time. I don't shave constantly, I just like the feeling of soft, smooth shaven legs, but with a kid I barely have time to shower let alone shave my legs. I usually just let it go till it gets to the point that they just feel like I could brush them lol (Okay not that bad) Luckily I'm a natural red head, and even the hair on my legs is red when it comes in, so Its hard to see the hair unless they're really bad. I can generally go without shaving and it not look like I haven't shaved for about 2 and a half weeks then the hair starts to show and then I have to shave.

However to each their own I don't care what other people do but to me I just have to shave when the hair starts to become to bothersome

Not gonna change my mind. I don't like it.
