Hairy legs

My problem with armpit hair is the odor... and it feels really bad. Armpit hair is courser than other hair and it feels really bad. It also looks really bad... I don't know, I have a think about armpit hair. I can't stand my own armpits to be hairy because after a while it starts to tickle which is DISGUSTING. My armpit hair tickles me. ALDJKLJDSKFL EW! I just hate armpit hair.

This post is win, especially the part I bolded. I totally agree! I can't be bothered shaving everyday or every few days like lots of people. I just shave when I feel like it. I used to get my legs waxed, but it was too much of a chore to go to the shops and get it done.

Waxing sucks. And rubbing your hairless legs together is awesome. And armpit hair is gross. We win.
I shave every time I shower. I personally, do not like body hair...I feel much more comfortable with smooth skin.

I know this will probably sound very judgmental and shallow, but personally I don't like how body hair (I'm speaking mainly of leg and armpit) looks on people. I think people look better when they shave.

That's my dad for me. He's the one who's like "brush your hair!!" and I'm like "ok" and I put it back and he's like "NO! Brush it!!!!!" And I'm like "I don't give a crap." And he's yelling at me constantly about how this or that shirt would look better with those pants and whatnot... he's also the one who says "Zo, if you're going to wear that, you should shave." I really couldn't care less.
 
Skin just feels so much nicer when it's smooth. 🙂 Hairy legs don't really bother me, but I admit when I see a woman with REALLY hairy pits (I'm not talking about stubble... I'm talking about big clumps of hair that stick out), I think that's gross. LOL

OMG, I know how you feel! Especially about the matching clothes!

My mother also goes on and on about how I need to get my eyebrows waxed. It's really irritating. 😀

My dad will come up to me with tweezers and try to pluck my eyebrows and chin hair. It's awful.
I really don't care if someone shaves their legs or not. Especially during the winter.
I'm Italian, so if I don't shave every day, it get's carazy! Pits, I understand wanting to do every day, but legs, not so much. Meh, I often go weeks without shaving my legs. It doesn't bother me. If I do shave, I mostly focus on my calves, and not so much the thigh. Meh.

On other people, it doesn't bother me either. My favorite singer doesn't shave her pits and I think she's lovely. 🙂

I almost never shave my legs now, and I don't really have a problem with armpit hair. I'll shave my own when I feel like it or if I'm wearing something sleeveless and I don't want people to look at me funny, but that's about it. I'm not very hairy and I don't wear skirts/shorts often, so I guess that also contributes to why I don't think much about shaving.

I personally don't have a problem with body hair (unless it's excessive or uncomfortable, sure), and I agree that especially for women, it should be a personal choice. It doesn't matter to me if people shave or not, but I guess I do resent the cultural pressure to shave. I don't think people should be made to feel ashamed of their body hair. It's just hair! 😛
 
Armpit hair is an absolute no-go, a woman has to be absolutely stunning otherwise to remain even remotely attractive in my eyes if she doesn't shave her pits... so fricking disgusting. And yes, I hate hairy pits on guys, too, and also shave my own ever since I was 14.

For other body regions, I definitely do prefer women all hairless except on the head. Still, unless it's total gorilla fur, I don't mind it too much either if they don't shave; it just "falls short of perfection" then. 😉

Sadly, I myself fall pretty much into the gorilla fur category myself. :sigh: Stupid Y chromosome and the according physical mutations and hormonal imbalances that go with it... If I bothered to go all hairless myself, I'd have to devote several additional hours a week into it. *pout*

Oh, I meant "especially for women" because I feel there's greater cultural pressure to be hairless if you're a woman. A woman with armpit hair, for example, is much more likely to be openly mocked than a man with armpit hair may be. That's the reason why I personally shave my hair sometimes anyway. Not really out of personal preference or comfort (which really should be the priority, right?), but because I don't want to be seen as 'weird' or 'gross'.

I don't shave, I get my bits waxed. It's a lot less complicated that way...

I'm with InsaneMystic - I really, really hate body hair. I'm literally repulsed by men with too much of it, and I don't think I could be with a woman who doesn't remove hers. Everyone should do about theirs what they want, I'm all for society not pressuring people, I just couldn't bring myself to have sex with a hairy person.

Lol, I think I realized what I wrote might've been phrased oddly as I was typing that first post. I was just too lazy to go back and clarify. xD

Just to clarify even further, I totally understand personal preference/attraction and all that and if you hate the look of body hair and you personally think it's gross, that's totally fine. It's just the same as people who *do* like body hair, I guess. I think my main problem is when personal preference becomes the dominant cultural attitude, and that kinda bugs me. The cultural norm can sometimes be unfairly restrictive. :/
 
I am hairless from the neck down. Body hair *shudders* I hate it. And to find a woman attractive they have to have little/no hair either. Anywhere. Strangely enough I like quite hairy guys. Not masses of back hair etc but I can't stand guys that have no chest hair what-so-ever.
 
I think armpithair on girls are really good looking and cool. On one of Patti Smiths record covers, I think it's "easter" she's showing off her hair, and she looks amazingly good. And in general, when Ever I see a girl with hair on somewhere that is culturally frowned upon I feel attracted to her in someway. To me armpit/leg hair on women stand for having the bravery to tell society and all its norms to go screw themselves and creating an own beauty, how could I not fall for that? :heart:

And you who're talking about that great feeling of newly shaven legs rubbing together. Have you Ever felt a warm summer breaze through your long leg hairs? Most awesome feeling Ever! 😀

Like Big Damn Hero, I'm shaved everywhere from the neck down. It's not really a husstle if you just always shave when you shower. Hardly takes any time, and I personally feel a lot better like that.
As I mentioned in some other thread already, it's part of my always be prepared agenda. It's the same as why I always wear contacts, makeup etc., if I didn't and I'd get in a specific social situation, I'd feel extremely distressed.
