I'm not sure whether anybody has noticed but the vengence demon Halfreck, is that girl which Spike loved and wrote all that awful poetry for. Ahhhhhhhhh.

erm yeah i did thats why the double look spike and hally give each other is so funny. Another greatness of this show how they have monumental continuity... like bringing back Sandy.
 
We all knew it. In Older and far away, the recognizes each other.

The story behind it is, that Cecily actually was a disguise. Halfrek was on a vengance mission. She massacred the whole room, minutes after William left it.
 
Reading this topic name i got the Ben is Glory feeling suddenly 😉

Well, it is strongly hinted in Dawn wish episode, altough never fully confirmed i think. At least not in series, dunno about commetaries or conventions and etc.

I love the fact, that it could be something really ,REALLY nast, but then we hear it's because of his bloody awful poetry. 😀 It's just such a great laugh. Big bad, tough Spike, was just a little whiny poet.
 
It dont need to be confirmed... its just one of those great Joss things. Guess its all about the perception of those watching the show. Not everyone sees it... my family didnt.

But we are obsessed 🙂
 
Ta all, and thanks pernilleborup, I did not know that, how did you find out, I have a feeling it was the Season seven episode, Selfless, but i'm not that sure.

Halfrek had been a vengance demon for about 3 decages.

Joss Whedon confirmed that Cecily was Halfrek after a comic with Spike had been released. (Spike: Old times)

Seriously? I always thought Spike all killed them, because of what one of those men said, something about rather have railroad spikes pierced through his head than to listen to that bloody poetry. So I thought SPike made that true and got his nickname that way.

Nope...Spike got inspired from that line. Halfrek had the honor of killing those bastards. Messing with William like that. Phooey::bbat::
 
Wait... how do we know Halfrek killed the party goers? I'm confused. I always thought Spike went back with a railroad Spike.

Actually, no not everyone else does that. Yes, this is a big place and it can be difficult to find old threads. But use the (advanced) search function and search only for titles (topics) and it narrows things down a lot. Otherwise just ask someone (you adopter?) before you start a new thread. You wouldn´t be the first one. It´s not like we want to take away your enthuiasm. But it´s a good idea. The mods will be thankful. Otherwise they´ll probably only merge the threads anyway.
