First off, this is not a thread about Hallowhedon, please don't discuss it here, because I'm just plain mad that you awesome UKers get to go and I don't! :tongue3:

Anyway, is anybody doing or has anybody done any Whedon-related Halloween costumes? Or really anything sci-fi or comic book-y. I'm trying to think of costumes for my family, and even though I'd love to do Buffy et al, not sure the boys are going to go for it. Although they might really like a Mutant Enemy monster LOL. Anyway, I'd love it if we could have a big family theme. We've never done that before, the boys are very opinionated about what they like. We did just finish reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, so we could do something Narnia-related. But the little one really likes superheroes, so maybe we can all pick a superhero or be the X-Men or something.

Ideas? Plans?

I want to go as Dr Horrible. But Halloween isn't really a big thing in the UK, so to be honest I can't really be arsed.

I love dress ups! I wish I lived in the states so I could make a big thing out of Halloween. I've dressed up as Buffy before and it was a lot of fun!

A cool family costume would be The Adams Family!

Or how about rock it old school and go as the Power Rangers?

I was wondering what I wanted to do this year. I was thinking:
Dark Willow
Rose Tyler (Doctor Who)
A Dexter Victim

Or something lame and sexy.

But first I need to figure out if there's a party I can go to because just dressing up and staying home would be laaaaame.

Halloween is huge to me, usually I start planning months ahead though this year I've been slow there. Me and my friend are thinking of going as the creepy twins from The Shining though 🙂

I was meant to be going to a Convention for Halloween and had planned to do The Corpse Bride (even though I have issues with Tim Burton). Now i'm not going I need to decide whether I want to go to the effort for a house party or just go with something else.

It does feel slightly odd to have a wedding dress hanging in my wardrobe!

lol, I can imagine it being strange having a wed-dress hanging around :)
I'm totally going as Buffy 🙂 I already have the costume ! I got so sick last year that I had to stay in. This year though, I refuse to be sick!

Like some others UKers have said, Halloween is not really that huge over here. Last year we had a party and me and my two best friends went as gorey/sexy nurses, we looked awesome. But we have fancy dress parties all the time because we're cool like that. We don't need a special dress up holiday!

If you want a family thing, how many of are you there? If its superheroes you want I'm thinking The Incredibles for you! 😀

So...what exactly are you wearing? Details, please!

There's 5 of us, and the Incredibles is a good idea.

Last year I wanted to go as The Baroness (GI Joes) but like normal, I waited last minute to get my costume and they didnt have it so I ended up going as Uhura (Star Trek). I haven't decided what I'm doing this year because if I have a haunted house at my house, then it depends on the theme. Otherwise, I'll just dress up as something cute.

Red leather pants, black tank top, black boots, cross necklace, stake, claddagh ring, and a little bottle of my pretend holy water that I got with some Buffy comic (water with bits of tin foil in it I think) 😀

Sounds awesome, although this good Catholic girl can easily get some real Holy Water LOL. BTW, I think I've told you before but I love your banner!

thanks! :)
OMG! I love Halloween. I love preparing for it. I usually don't go Trick 'r' Treating though. I am sadly to young. I wanted to go as The Mad Hatter from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. 😀 I also wanted to go as Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I was going to go in a pretty gown with blood on the bottom of my dress. I have a katanna; I am going to carry around. It will also have blood on it. Then I was going to make a zombie head to carry around with me. 😀

Yes, Halloween is a big deal in the US. We always go full out. 😀

I always wanted to go as Faith from Buffy. But, I didn't think anyone would ever notice. You know since she is in normal looking clothes for the most part.

Maybe you can play up Faith's tattoo with make-up or something?
oh halloween how I love thee...unfortuantely all my friends are apparently too cool to dress up, so I more than likely will be hitting up halloween parties at the clubs and such. Planning on going as Hit Girl...but i might change my mind. I have a plan B. This all depends if my manager doesn't make me work Halloween night.

Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, even more so than Christmas 😀 No idea on a costume yet, but Buffy has crossed my mind, and also Sookie from True Blood.

Hmmm, if the Narnia idea doesn't work out, what about Lord of the Rings? I always see both children and adult sized costumes for it.

This is the biggest decision I have to make every year! What shall I be for Halloween! Its always so hard to decide.
