So I didn't know if I should include this in the halloween thread... but nothing seemed to be on the topic of costumes there so I decided to create this thread.

I just finished making my costume and I am so excited! I'm a Christmas tree! I'm going to wear it to school tomorrow and on Tuesday (to celebrate the beginning of Christmas on Nov 1).

What is everyone else dressing up as this year? Do you make your own costumes or buy them?

I love your costume!
It's Halloween right now where I am, but I'm just at home studying. In fact, I'm still in my pyjamas. LOL. Halloween isn't as big a thing here as it is in America. I used to go trick-or-treating, but alas, not this year. 🙁

Btw, those costumes ideas are really original. Fantastic ideas. 🙂

Christmas begins Nov 1?

In Germany Halloween isn't so much celebrated. I will watch some Horromovies with friends that's all. No costume ;D

That sounds fun. I should do that, too, because on the 26th Dec I always feel sad that Christmas is over. With your way it doesn't have to be. 😀

EXACTLY! BTW... you will be in VH... celebrating Christmas like I do. And you will all love it!
I haven't got a costume 🙁 lol Halloween isn't as big here as it is in America etc, and people just do it for money here which is why it's not really as big as far fewer people answer their doors and just sit in with the lights out lol.

But for christmas i'd probably dress up as a christmas pudding or something lol.

I was a zombie. I was actually going to be Death(skeleton make up and wounds), but changed my mind on the way to the party. I had temporary tattoos looking like wounds and used make up to look pale and, well, dead-ish. My clothes were regular, I ditched the Death robe-thing.

I'm not dressing up this year, but I'm taking the mini trick-or-treating dressed as a little lion. It's pretty much the cutest thing ever.

I thought about dressing up as Billy Idol (who stole his look from Spike 😛), but I decided not to dress up, because I'm only going to a "normal" party, if at all.

I went to a party Saturday as Lois Lane. One reason is because I'm cheap, second reason is I didn't want to freeze my ass off like everyone else did haha.

Oh and it's freakin awesome that I'm not the only person who starts Xmas on Nov 1st. It's one of the reasons I love Halloween so much. As soon as it's over I go 'Oh it's November! Time to put the tree up.' 😀

Christmas on November 1 karma!!!!
Rosie the Riveter is my costume.

I put up the stockings on Nov 1st, but because I always have a real tree, I wait until December 20th to put one up. I want it to stay fresh till January 15th.

My husband, two friends, and my SIL and her boyfriend went as Germans. The girls were beer servers and the guys wore lederhosen. It was pretty fun.

I wanted to be Jessica Rabbit, but I had a REALLY hard time finding the right red dress. I'm planning ahead for next year!

That is such a great idea Jessica Rabbit is tops!
I haven't dressed up since I was about 11, but I love hearing and seeing what other people's customs are. There are some really original ideas out there.

Anyway, I will be watching Buffy halloween episodes, that's my fun 🙂

Yes, ma'am! Haha. I guess I'll be needing to ask someone to make me a Christmas banner, then. 😀
