Hey guys. So I'm currently watching my nightly Buffy mini-marathon since everything on the television sucks at this time and I'm on 'Halloween'.

This isn't a definite goof but I just noticed how when Angel and Buffy are in the kitchen and the vampire attacks Buffy from behind, how did the vampire get into Buffy's in the first place?

Obviously it may just be a person in costume who's been transformed via Ethan Rayne but I wondered how you perceived it to be? I only just noticed if I'm being honest as I regularly do forget about the whole 'invitation only' thing 😛

Whilst I've made this thread, just another quick note to say how awesome this episode is!

Ditto! TV is rubbish tonight! Im currently on season 3 (re-watch) and the revelations episode.

Great episode! and i am going to go with the costume transformed person. Darn Ethan up to his old tricks again. 🙂 i try not too look too hard at any mistakes, its all a part of the charm 🙂

Hmmm. Do the rules still apply to people who dress up as vampires and then turn into them all because of some ridiculous spell? I am of the belief that the rules don't apply. And even if they did, rules were made to be broken. 😉

Well, if they really were vampires, it should have applied. But Willow, being turned into a ghost, had to die. She shouldn't have come back to life then, since she died. But she did.

It was a confusing episode.

Most likely a person dressed as a vampire that was turned into one.

Didn't that Vamp get staked by Angel though? If it was a real person he's dead now xD

Not the only weirdness in that ep (though it still is one of my all time faves). Note how Ghost!Willow leaving Ethan's shop makes the sound of opening the door and ringing that little bell jingle thingy, even though she should be walking straight through it while it's closed. 😉

I guess when I watched the episode, and re-watch it I just chalk it up to the spell. It technically changed Buffy into a 18th century girl, and thus left the house "abandoned". Then again now that I type that I realize that Joyce wasn't turned into anything, but I guess I'll go with a quote my dad likes to use, "why let the facts get in the way of a good story?" :]

I am not sure if this was a goof or not. It was never explained whether or not the rule of vampires needing to be invited in applied to the vampires that changed due to Ethan's spell, so I'm not sure on this one. I'll stay on the fence.

I choose to believe it was because of the spell. I don't believe that they were genuinely vampires because they were turned into them. Maybe the spell wasn't THAT strong, just strong enough to cause enough chaos.

Like Aloverssoulz said, if it was just a person who dressed up as a vamp they are now dead thanks to Angel lol. One way or another its kinda a goof
