Ok BB'ers, time for you to think like a child! 😀 I really need your ideas! Pretty please *grins inanely*

We're throwing a big Halloween party on Tuesday, and I need some new ideas for Halloween themed party games for the following age groups:-

3yrs-8 yrs

11yrs-13yrs

It can be a Halloween spin on a traditional party game, or something totally new! I'm open to any suggestions!

Last year, we did the traditional apple bobbing, which still goes down great with the kids. We also did a treasure hunt, leaving clues all over the place.

We are doing the mummy wrap again - kids seem to take great fun in wrapping each other up in toilet rolls! : psycho e

Also a trick or treat game - like pass the parcel, except they get to put their hand in a pumpkin or cauldron, pick a trick or treat card, and they have to do what it says on it. I need some ideas for 'tricks' for this one, some suitable for the younger kids, and some more daring for the older ones. 🙂

I'm really struggling this year, as I don't want to repeat every game we did last year, so I hope you're all feeling creative! 😀

I would give you some candy for your help, but it'd have to be virtual 'lol'

Anyway, any ideas would be really appreciated! Thanks :love20:

I guess no-one has any ideas then.......... ah well, never mind 'lol' 😉

This place is pretty cool, it's more tips for halloween but there are some nifty stuff in there!

Pass The Pumpkin Halloween Game
Have the children sit in a circle. Start music and have them pass a small pumpkin around the circle. When the music stops, the one that is caught with the pumpkin is out. Continue to you have a winner.

Make A Mummy Party Game
Divide the children into two groups (or three groups if it is a large Halloween party). Select one from each group to be the mummy. Give each group a roll of toilet paper. When you say "go" each group wraps toilet paper around the mummy child. The first group that emptys their roll of toilet paper wins. You can also give a prize to the best wrapped mummy.

Relay Race:
Designate a starting line and a finish line. Set out a bowl full of candy corn for each player at the starting line and an empty bowl at the finish line. The players must use a large spoon to scoop candy corn out of the full bowl and then carry it to the empty bowl and fill it. They cannot spill any candy corn or use their hands! If any candy corn falls off the spoon, they must immediately pick it up and bring it back to the starting line bowl and start over with that scoopful.

Fill a bowl with things like:
  • Damp, Course Sponge - Brains
  • Twisted Chenille Stems - Spider
  • Pretzel Stick - Petrified Rat Tails
  • Dried Apricots - Dried-up Tongues
  • Spiderwebs
  • Cooked, Cold Spaghetti Noodles - Worms
  • Cooked, Cold Spaghetti Noodles - Veins
  • Peeled Grapes - Eyeballs
  • Fake Fur
  • Tines of a Plastic Fork - Vampire Teeth
  • Soft Flour Tortilla - Skin (can add a little oil)
  • Feed Corn - Teeth
  • Corn Husk Silk - Hair
  • Slime
And have the kinds reels around inside it blind folded!

Zombies
One person is 'IT', the others must sit or lay as motionless and expressionless zombies. The person who is 'IT' must do whatever they can to make the zombies smile, giggle, or wiggle in any way without touching them! When 'IT' gets a zombie to wiggle, giggle, or smile, that zombie then joins 'IT' in trying to get others to smile, giggle, or wiggle. The last zombie wins!

Murder in the Dark is always good - Choose a murder and a detective, turn off the light and the murderer touches someone and they scream and die, and the lights are turned back on, Then the murder blinks at people and they die, while the detective try to find the killer!

This site's pretty good for games!

Pin the nose on the pumpkin - same as pin the tail on the donkey except for instead of a pic of a donkey have a pumpkin!

Have a parent dress up as a gypsey and tell fortures - But make them really funny, My mom did this and told a friend of mine he was going to be a ballet dancer , he was not impressed, lol!!

Awww now I wanna throw a Halloween party - But I think I'm working, 🙁

Thanks for those! :D
Thank you all so much for your suggestions! 😀 I'm just looking at those sites now BEG and they also have some great ideas too - gonna bookmark them both!

Thanks again guys! 😀

Oh, if anyone has any suggestions for music, that'd be great! 🙂

It's not as easy as it you would think finding great 'Halloweeny' tracks - I mean apart from obvious ones like Thriller, Monster Mash etc, especially as I have to cater for ages ranging from 3yrs to 65yrs+ 'lol'
