Hallowhedon 2.

I really really hope i can get a few of my friends to go, i will beg their mums if i have to 😛

I was bored at the parties last time. :/

I stayed at the 'Heathrow Lodge' last time, it's such a dump to be honest, but your only there to sleep 😛
It was so so cheap though 🙂
 
I was bored at the parties, too. Helen's a party pooper, who doesn't like to dance. 😉 I'm trying to get my other best friend to go, too, and I'm getting my boyfriend into Buffy, so maybe I can force him to come, too. 😛 The only problem would be getting there, but oh well. ;D

We stayed in the Thistle itself, and plan to again this time around. Everyone said it was crappy, but I was only in the room to sleep, really, so I was all good with it.
 
I'm so very, very happy that Alan Tudyk has been announced for going to Hallowhedon 2! 😀 Because, y'know, Wash and Alpha both rock. Ahhh, yay. Just...Just...yay. 😀

I found out right before I posted. I was really, insanely happy. I was sat with Helen and my only words were 'Yay' and 'Wow'. Apparently, I was speechless. Honestly, if I was that speechless over Alan...If Eliza or Emma got announced, I'd probably collapse.
I'm really happy. And excited. Although The Vampire Ball has more guests; Showmasters cons generally have more interaction and stuff with guests, apparently. So, I bet HW2 will be better. 😉 I also reckon they're trying harder to get bigger, rarer guests, and that's why? Or, at least, I can hope. And pray for Eliza Dushku.

Man, id LOVE to go. Id have to get a plane ticket, hotel, and everything. It just doesn't seem probable, but one can wish!

I'm sure Hallowhedon will announce more guests obviousley, just the starfury one has already announced all theirs...
They have 2 angel and 2 buffy guests, i'm sure hallowhedon will have the same or maybe more, last year there was 5 guests, so dunno. 😛
 
Probably more. They're on a higher budget, as far as I know; and Showmasters conventions definitely sell out quicker, and all that jazz. Basically, I like them better. 😉 But, anyway, enough of that. Haha. I'd love to go to the Vampire Ball just to meet Julie, Christian and Juliet, but considering that's never gonna happen, I just have high hopes for Emma Caulfield and Eliza Dushku at HW2. 😉

If you're right about Emma Caulfield, when HW2 comes around, I will hug you, and thank you; simply for telling me. 😛 And if you're wrong, I'll cry on your shoulder. xD

Edit: Oh, and as for the amount of guests; it was quite a suckfest that they only had 5 for Hallowhedon (Even though the weekend rocked), because generally there're between 6 and 8 guests. I think it was because Harry Groener pulled out last minute, they didn't have time to find a replacement.
 
Hi I'm new here, I absolutly love buffy and only just found out they do this convention in the UK!!! how did I not know. I'd love to go, I've never been to any kind of convention before, whats it like? Ive seen some peoples pictures and they look great,

If ive never been before, I just wanted to check something cos i didnt quite understand the website, do you still order the photo sessions seperatly or something, I thought it was included in the price at first but then i saw a price just for the shoot, im confused :S lol

They're a little over rated IMO, 😛 But cons are good for meeting new people etc, and the best part is the guest encounters. 🙂
Where you bid money to have coffee and tea with them for 45 minutes. 😉
Oh and if you buy the standard ticket, you need to pay for photoshoots separately. Although if you buy silver/gold, they come included (which works out cheaper)well a little cheaper. 😛
 
I am glad to say I will be attending Hallowhedon 2. I went last year and it was awesome. Grated me and my friends were a bit drunk at all the parties!
I got the standard ticket cos I didn't know how many pictures I wanted to get...but now that the two big guests have been announced looks like i could've gone for silver 🙁 oh well!
I'm looking to see if I can buy the giant banner like I did last year! its proudly hanging on my corridor wall. Anyone else go last year and get anything interesting at auction!?
Itd be interesting to meet the person that bought the meal with James Marsters!
 
Tasha that is blasphemy! Cons aren't overrated, at all! They're amazing. Basically what Tasha said, about that cons in general, Katie (I'm guessing your name is Katie...); I was a con newbie last year, and I thought I'd be completely lost, but everyone is so, so nice; I met tonnes of nice people and made some friends. The cons are really good. You get autographs, photoshoots (They're only included in the prize in silver and gold tickets), guest talks and guest encounters. The guest encounters are amazing, and basically just what Tasha said. 12 people in a room with one guest for 45 minutes. They can be a bit pricey, though, but worth it.

You were at Hallowhedon? 😀 That's awesome, I wonder if I saw you around. I actually didn't go to the auction! I was devastated. I told my Mum it didn't matter, so we went over to get to something to eat whilst it was going on. Then afterwards when I saw some of the things people had gotten, I wished that I'd gone. However, yeah I agree, that was one lucky person! I can't believe how much it went for, though. I mean I know James is amazing and everything, but seriously...
 
A couple of my online friends who went to Hallowhedon last year are trying to convince me to go to the one this year. I'm wavering... it's a lot of money, but it looks like a lot of fun. I'm undecided.

I keep thinking I should just book the ticket... and then I'll just have to go, lol.

I'm seriously considering going this year if I can afford the tickets, hotel, train etc (oh dear better get saving) was thinking of going for either the gold or silver ticket so thats gd, at least I know i'll be covered. By looking at the pictures, it seems like it would be a good weekend, having never done anything like this before I'd like to give it a go 😀

😛. I'm not gonna buy any merch this time, i'm just gonna keep all my money for the guest encounters. 🙂
 
It was £900 and something. Because I remember there was a group of us completely amazed that it'd gone for nearly £1000. Especially considering the other meal, with the other guests only went for about £180 - Some people must have a lot of money to do whatever with. Then again, I'd pay good money if it was for Emma or Eliza (sw)
Well, you better feel fine this year, if you don't, I'll just drag you around, forcing you to have fun. 😉
I only bought a book at HW1. I kept saying 'I'll come back tomorrow.' so I could save as much money as I needed for guest encounters, but then when I went back whatever I wanted seemed to be gone. xD
 
I wonder what they actually did during the dinner. Cos id consider paying quite a bit of money but then id be like "Hi...i love you" *end of convo* hahaha
Last year was definately amazing. The auction was so much fun to watch! I had one girl infront of me that was trying to outbid the person that won the dinner with james...she just kept her hand up until it go to 850, and then the guy was like...shud we just go up in 50s? and she put her hand down. This year shud b better since its the second time around!
 
I'd be curious to know, too. I don't think I could have even said that. It'd have been like "You...Wow." *Squeal* then silence. Yeah, I imagine this year'll be better; because we all know what to expect, and I think after how successful it was last year, they'll attempt to get more guests, and hopefully rare or bigger guests. Did anyone who went last year go to any guest encounters, then? I did one with Nick and one with Mercedes. 😀
 
Im gonna have to try convince my mum its worth the money, I really wanna go having heard the stories lol
Can I ask, what do you mean by a guest encounter? :S
