new event by showmasters (collectormania)

a 3 day con totally devoted to joss whedon and his shows! which obv means buffy, angel, firefly, serenity and dollhouse!

robia la morte is already an announced guest!

its not until next yr over halloween weekend, but its gonna be fab!

this sounds so cool, i hope they can get more guessed and make them all confirmed i'd love to go to this so i'll have to see what situation i am in nearer the time

how great would it be if they had a hudge cast re-union there 😛
 
yeh showmasters usually get pretty big buffy/angel guests for just general signings. so it wouldnt suprise me if they managed to out-do themselves on this one!

i reckon its gonna be a fab event! and yay over a year to save up haha!

We,l it's at Heathrow Airport and the rates for the hotel are fair.. so why not come and join in the fun!
il certainly be there, returning to the emerald isle in the new yr which means its just across the water, cant wait 🙂
 
No offense to all our UKers, but im so tired of these conventions being held there. You'd think living in NYC something would be here but no.

I agree SO much. You would think conventions would be evenly spread out between the countries. But nope. And NYC hardly sees any!

Fair point guys, but at least you have the opportunity to travel to other parts of the US to attend them, we're lucky if we get one every 5 years or so!

hey me too! i live in ill nothing big ever comes here. its alway far away.
:0 I so want to go to this. It'll be a couple of days after my 19th birthday...so i could ask my parents for the tickets as a present. And I live in London...so bonus! 😀

If James Marsters goes...I think i might just squeal with delight 😀

I can't make it as I have plans but I give it the thumbs up. I've crewed for Showmasters in the past and not only do they get great guests and put on an excellent show everyone is really friendly and you are guaranteed an awesome time!
 
OMG this is so exciting, i missed all these Buffy/Angel conventions years ago. I'm gonna book tommorow. I do have a question though, does anyone go to these things alone? I've never been before and my boyfriend/friends at home aren't interested in going. Typical my friend in Canada and her daughter would love to go but wouldn't be able to afford it. 🙁

Well I'm saving for another trip to England but I was expecting it to be about 6 months after the Hallowhedon thing. So I doubt I'll get the money together. Has anyone ever been to a convention before? I've always been interested and then kind of wondered what exactly goes on at conventions. I think they should totally have one in Australia.
 
i have been to conventions in the past....

they basically consist of....

a dealer room with allsorts of stalls and shops

autograph sessions

photo sessions

guest talks in the main hall, with a Q&A and u can get up and ask questions.

and a party every night with a different theme =)

they are really good fun!

Oooh, I really want to go to this! I'll have to tell my brother next time I see him too, as he's a big Buffy fan. We went to the last Buffy/Angel convention earlier in the year which was great fun 😛

I'll have to see about this one nearer the time though, as I'll either be having to bring a baby along with me (doesn't sound too fun), recruit my parents (or a babysitter) or make my boyfriend stay at home lol. Oh the decisions
 
He directed an Alien movie...I wonder if they could work anything in off that, too?

Not that I'll get there, but for those that do....I hope you have a cool big mama Alien replica along with all the other goodies. (Imagine if you bought a scythe replica and posed next to it with a cast member, neato. 😉 )
