Hannigan taking time out from her West End play

The Haymarket Theatre has announced that Alyson Hannigan will not appear in her West End play, When Harry Met Sally between 17th March and 3rd April.

No official reason has been given for the lead actresses absence from the newly launched play but rumours are that the absence is possibly due to Hannigan reprising her role of Willow to appear in the final ever episode of Angel which has yet to to be filmed.

Hannigan's super witch character Willow, appeared in Buffy for seven seasons and also popped up in episodes of Angel in crossover storylines. Of course, Hannigan still has a stake in the Angel show as her husband, Alexis Denisof is a regular cast member. Before the shows cancelation was announced, Denisof publically said that he would love to appear alongside his wife in the series and with time running out, this could be the last opportunity.

Other possible players in the finale include Eliza Dushku who this week spoke out in support of the cast and crew of the show she appeared in as Faith, the rogue vampire slayer. Although she is currently starring in her own show, Tru Calling, she will be free to film scenes for Angel's final ever episode.

Well, I thought it was already pretty certain that Willow was going to be in. I still don't know about Faith, but I guess it'd be cool. I wonder whether Kennedy and Wood will visit too?
 
Wood & Kennedy would not visit too, it would take the focus of the Angel cast, and recurring characters Willow & Faith, it is about them! We do not care for Kennedy & Wood, they both can be dead for all I care, oh my!
 
Lol, well I actually don't think Wood should come, as long as they just mention Kennedy at some point, that she's still with Will.
 
No, No, No! This is not Buffy! Willow ended with Buffy. I don't want Willow and Faith to be in the last episode because that will take the focus off the cast members. Wesley, Gunn, Fred and Lorne have each been with Angel for over two years. The final should be all about them. Willow and Faith should show up before the final. NOT ON IT!!!
 
Willow will be back, no doubt about that, but it's never said that she'll be in the finale, and honoustly I doubt that, I think she'll be in 20 or 21. And I think Faith won't be there at all, but that's just guessing.
 
That's be cool to see them return, but most of all I would LOVE to see Sarah make an appearance.

So, is Eliza can take the time off and she has a current TV SHOW, SMG can CERTAINLY come back, cuz she's not doing anything... What a bey-atch... Hate her now. She couldn't come for JUST the finale?! Daivd's mad at her too.

Well sorry to break it, but:

a) SMG is right now in Asia, doing her new movie (some remake of an horror movie)! So she is busy!!

b) The only reason Eliza might show up is because her show, "Tru Calling", will be done filming before they shoot Angel's last few episodes!! So she would be free!
 
Bringing Willow/Alyson back for one last time on Angel's gonna be the best thing they've done all season! I'm so glad that she decided to take a little break from the stage. She must be exhausted. Plus, Alexis must miss her to death. Who could blame him? She's also got a birthday coming up...
 
It says that Eliza spoke out in support of the cast/crew/show. Does anyone have thoes comments from her?

Also, I'm torn about how I feel about it. Although nothing would make me happier than to see Willow again, I have to agree with No Angel and say that it will draw focus away from where it should be.... However, as nothing would make me happier, I have to say that I would really love it.

I dunno whether I would've wanted Faith to be in it...I like Faith, its just...she sorta takes over...if you know what I mean...

I miss her! She was soooo cool and interesting...if she could show up in the finale and kick ass, that'd be cool too, but I'd love it if she was just in one short scene...I wanna know what happened with her and Gunn!

I'm hoping either guest star shows up BEFORE the series finale. No Angel is right, the focus should be on getting the characters on the show resolved. But Faith belongs there more than Will, just because her life and redemption have been big parts of the Angel series as well. Again, I'm just happy we got Andrew in on this season.
 
It's still not official though is it?

I don't think either one of them deserves to be there more than the other.

Don't forget...Willow has helped out Angel probably more than any other Scoobie, and hell...has done even more for him than some of the AI crew....
Willow has re-ensouled Angel...Twice...
In his Buffy days...it was always Willow Angel went to for help...
Willow crossed over more than any other scoobie to come to Angel's aid...it was Willow who delivered the news to Angel of Buffy's death...

I'm just saying....both Faith and Willow have played major roles in Angel's life...so I wouldn't say one deserves an appearance more than another...
 
Oh! That would be wonderful! I mewan it would be wonderful that she's back, but not that it's Angel's last eppie. ::crying::
