Buffy's 13 today: Watch the rare pre-debut teaser trailer

Has it really been 13 years to the day since Buffy the Vampire Slayer debuted on The WB? Seems like yesterday, and yet Mar. 10, 1997 was so long ago I didn't even remember (don't hate me now) that the series launched as a midseason replacement!

If you were there from the very beginning, you first met Sarah Michelle Gellar's Buffy Summers not in the show's first episode, but in a teaser trailer that's only aired twice.

Wow, 13 years already!

I like the beginning of the trailer. It's all mysterious and gives you goosebumps. Plus, it's interesting that some Buffy books made mentions of Lucy Hanover, I had no idea that notion came form the very first Buffy trailer.
 
wow it seems like just yesterday it was on the air, I can't believe it has been so long 😀 and I'd never seen the trailer so that was pretty neat. Happy 13th birthday BtVS
 
Thirteen years, wow. Most of my life time; it's insane. Happy birthday BtVS. I can't believe the fanbase is still going to strong; but I bet it will be, for years to come. 😀
 
That's so cool! I was going to start a Buffy rewatch earlier... but I decided to take a nap instead. It would've been cool if I started it on it's 13th birthday.

Wow, I remember seeing that trailer on TV. 🙂 It doesn't seem like it was THAT long ago.... I feel old. LOL
 
Jeebus! Is it nearly thirteen years since I watched Welcome to the Hellmouth in a hotel in Las Vegas with the sound turned way down? (so as not to wake Mrs P who had gone to bed earlier)

I do love the historical element of the trailer. A Tales-of-the-Slayer type show would be so cool.

I totally agree! I loved the historical bits in the trailer!
Well, that sure explains why the comics are p***ing me off at the moment. The show has become a teenie, how annoying! (sw)

I'm actually suprised that it isn't older than it is.

The fact that it ended in 2003 feels weird since that seems very recent for me.
Time really does fly...
