Saw this posted on Whedonesque, I didn't even know it was today! Wow I can't believe it's been 14 years. I think I'm going to watch Welcome To The Hellmouth tonight too lol

Earlier this year, we celebrated the 30th birthday of the character Buffy Summers. Now today we get to celebrate the 14th birthday of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" itself. It's hard to believe our little show with the funny name is 14 already. Before you know it, she'll be screaming "Get out, get out, get out!" and making wishes so no one can leave her birthday party.

I usually try to do something Buffy related on the 10th of March -- the date Buffy debuted on The WB with "Welcome to the Hellmouth" and "The Harvest" -- and today will be no exception. Though I'll be going to the Lakers-Heat game tonight, I'll get in some watching of some Buffy episodes this afternoon, starting with the two that aired 14 years ago today.

Aw yay Happy 14th Anniversary BtVS!!!! Guess i'll be taking my dvd's to work so I can watched a few of the first episodes 😀
 
It's just crazy to watch the show 14 years later and still think it is extremely modern and easy to relate to and plain awesome!


(Also, it's crazy to think that I was 6 when the show was airing, and I'm now almost 20 and still love it so much!)

Aw dudes I gotta watch a Buffy ep before the day is through. It always feels strange that this show has been in my life longer than my sister has... and always will be.
 
Well if you go by when the movie was released it is much older. But anyways 14 years? That is along time. And Buffy fans are still going strong!

I am only 19 months older then the show. Wow.
 
Whoa, it feels like yesterday that the 10th anniversary rolled around, can't believe it's been four years since that!

Anyway, happy birthday BtVS! 😀
 
really 14 years where hasthe time gone still as relevant today just celbrated and watched once more with feeling probaly for the 14th time
 
I'm watching Welcome to the Hellmouth atm, and I'll finish that up with The Harvest.. but I swear I'm going no further I got's other things to watch.

And now I'm officially old. I remember walking down the corridor in high school reminding myself to watch this new show that was premiering. That's insane...14 years...wow.
 
Fourteen years?? WOW. I just watched BtVS last year, and except for the really dated clothes in the earlier seasons, everything still feels very relevant to today. Can't really believe it's been fourteen years since it premiered!
 
Wow. Happy 14th Anniversary Buffy.

That's just amazing to me that 14 years later, here we all are. Veteran watchers who have been there all 14 years 🙂 And us newbie followers who have just started the new generation of Buffy obsession, kudos to all of us for keeping Buffy alive this long!
