Its sorta taboo to celebrate it. They had fireworks in the city but its hated online.

Fireworks would have been well received in a town like mine, we have an indigenous population that adore Australia day, but their voices dont matter because they are too old and only use their phones to call people on 😆

My town is covered in flags and aussie day bunting. My dog didnt know what to think of it all! Never seen so many things flapping in the wind haha. Its not been like this in years before. They had a big festival at the sports club.

I dont celebrate it but for the same reason I dont celebrate any of the holidays. I did get to collect a fresh bunch of alcohol cans and bottles to exchange though 😀

There you go folk, proof positive that neither Stake fodder nor November are Roman Catholics. Being as King James 1 stated that the bonfire night and the fireworks display were to be a celebration of the failure of the Catholic plot to remove the Protestant religion in England.
