Thanks all, have to say it was rather a dull day, was at work for most of it, did have a waffle at work but that was a little too sweet for me, and then went to Italian after work which was food but indigestion now, not sure if it was the red wine or the risotto. Now home and ready for bed! It's been a long week, and I'm out tomorrow night too.
 
Of course I get a bunch of birthday email from various places, so I thought I would share this one:

My dearest, darling Kimberley ,
This morning, my alarm went off on my phone, reminding me to look at my calendar, which had a note on it telling me to ask my wife to remind me to tell you that today was a very important day. That's right: it may have escaped your attention, but today is the anniversary of the momentous occasion when you escaped your birthing module and announced in no uncertain terms that you had arrived- and the world has never been the same!
Now, while there is much to celebrate on this special day, we do have to look at the whole picture here. I hate to broach this, but it has come to my attention that you are a leading cause of global warming. As I'm concerned about the well-being of the planet, I've taken it upon myself to reach out to you about the impact you have on our environment.
According to noted climate scientists, your warm, radiant existence has caused a spike in temperatures around the globe. Anecdotal reports also indicate that you merely walking into a room brightens up the place!
While I am not technically a “climatologist,” most experts in the field do consult with me before publishing their data, and the materials I’ve reviewed indicate that you've also made the world a much cooler place, so I guess everything evens out in the end.
No matter your impact on the environment, I think the world is lucky to have you in it, and I'm glad you're out there making your mark.
I know you asked me not to get you anything, but I made you a little something.

Ah yes, nightshade has the wonder of yet another day to revel in its glory, and how does she celebrate it? By having another competition that to (two) many Sineya members will fail to enter. But I must admit this one is the worst wrong address to enter. Telling them (Sineya) members to send a PM knowing full well that it has been called a " Conversation " for years now. That and telling them, in code, to write the title of the drabble 10%, 10 words above or below, the actual drabble.

Yet for all the love shown, by you, to those who deserved it least - I think it fair to say that every member of the board would herald you as one of the boards best.
