Happy Birthday Nile

One of the many elder Millennials around here with the big 40 just over the horizon. Time feels like it's moving fast now.

One thing that always feels comforting about the Buffyverse fandom is that I feel like I'm right in the middle of the age range instead of an intrusive outlier. And through all the ups and downs of being in and out of this fandom for 21 years, I always come home.

Happy birthday! Have someone go to the store and get a proper cake for you. You can have that and banana spring rolls. I can remember being 38 in the dim, distant past and it was the start of getting more fit, more respected at work and less worried about age.
 
Unexpected life happened. Had to buy a new washer for my mom because our ancient one finally pooped out.

And now there's a power outage for the neighborhood.

Well, at least I get food soon!

*edit* And it was tasty. Especially the banana rolls with ice cream and sauces. Still no power.

It would be good if you had stated if it was a metal washer, a rubber washer or a plastic washer? Was it a washer for a tap?
@ILLYRIAN It was the washing machine. I ordered a new one.

And if my birthday couldn't get any more disastrous, the power went out and my computer no longer turns on. I was distraught. Hopefully, the technician coming in a few minutes can replace the power supply and all will be well. I hope it's nothing worse than that!
