Drink plenty of fluids as hangovers are caused by being dehydrated plus fried food helps absorb the alcohol. Also what causes hangovers is apparently your body breaks the alcohol down into two components (I think they're called Ethanol and Methanol) and it's the methanol that causes the hangover. Hair of the Dog works because it temporarily switches your body back to working on breaking down the Ethanol.
