This was posted on a Bangel forum I frequent and I thought I take the idea over here too 🙂

On May 20th 2003 Chosen aired and with it came the introduction of Cookie Dough! Well it's 7 years later and Buffy seems pretty baked so lets enjoy delicous cookie Bangel!

In between laundry and whatnot I will watch Buffy episodes not to mention possibly having cookies with Angel food items like lil angel's by hostess. I hope Angel enjoys his Buffy cookies today.
 
Aww that's absoloutely adorable! 😀

Hmm... well I suppose now I'm doomed to an afternoon of munching on cookies while reading Buffy/Angel fan-fiction in my Panamas. Oh well, what can you do eh? C'est la vie! :shrug:

I really loved the message and idea of the Cookie speech. It needed to be written better though. But then Buffy was supposed to have been formulating the thing within a few seconds. How many people can just give a great analogy out of the blue when a couple of minutes before you were chopping evil priests in half and being blindsided by your ex smelling another guy on you (they didn't have sex though, she just "slept" with him the previous night). Way back in high school a girl in my English class gave a speech (everyone had to pretend they were the valedictorian and give a speech to the class) similiar to the Cookie Dough one in Chosen but it was so well written that I was tempted to ask her for a copy of it.

I loved that she used "cookie dough" to describe herself. It immediately made me think of IWRY with Angel and Buffy feeding each other in bed. Angel starting to say, "Any thoughts on who might enjoy--" was such a great moment! The rest of that sentence of course was going to be "eating you?"

If you believe that the S8 graphic novels are cannon then Buffy may very well be cookies now and Angel did "eat" her!
 
That moment where Angel says "Any idea who might enjoy" also showed how his character had grown since he left Sunnydale. This was a guy with a great sense of humour now and i liked how he kept that persona when he returned to Sunnydale.

yeah I laughed when I heard that phrase!
I wonder if Angel understood the Dawson Leary reference. We know Spike watched Dawson's Creek. I doubt it. Angel did rub elbows with the Rat Pack, went to a Barry Manilow concert, went to the movies when movie theaters were first getting popular, etc. but he could be really clueless about pop culture and culture in general sometimes. I still laugh at the fact that he had a cellphone YEARS before Buffy did.

I don't think he did, he was pretty oblivious to 90's pop culture. He's got some 'splainin to do if he did get it!

Watched the Angel parts in End of Days & Chosen and was giddy with the Bangel love. B/As kiss had all the passion that their kisses had in season 2 pre-surprise. When Angel is going to help fight Caleb and Buffy doesn't want him too and so he goes and just stands by the wall and watches.
Angel: You are so going to lose.
God how much I missed this.

I liked the reference to Becoming Part 2 and The Prom
Buffy: So what was the highlight of our relationship when you broke up with me or when I killed you?

The cockiness,swagger,and bickering was back along with the way Angel sticks out the tip of his tongue when he delivers a sarcastic line which referenced his first face to face meeting with Buffy when he delivered the line.
"I didn't say I was yours"
