Happy couples... NOT!

We all know Joss doesn't like happy people. Every time there is a happy couple, Joss has to break them apart, send someone away, or kill one of them. Couples just don't make it on this show. And since the series continues after season 7, I think that maybe, just maybe in the end, there will be happy people and couples. So do you think it's gonna happen? Which couples do you suppose will make it in the end? Who will be with whom in the end, if ever? How will they make it work?

Joss has always said that when a couple gets happy and comfortable they then become boring to the audience. Seeing how successful the comic books have been I do not see a lasting coupling in anyones future as it may be deemed boring. Lets say the franchise loses an avenue or means in which to be distributed perhaps then and only then will we have a couple that has a happy ending.

Given when s9 comes out I think that's when the couples will finally come together... My hope is for Anya to come back from the grave and get Xander *prays to the Whedon god*

Also Though I don't much care who Buffy get's I'm thinking that she'll end up with Angel...It's a true love thing... but at least the Spuffy v Bangel arguments will come to a close when she's finally done baking!!!

I really, really hope that Buffy ends up with Angel. I loved her with Angel and I loved her with Spike, but I think ultimately she belongs with Angel forever.

Well, Joss actually planned to bring Tara back from the dead so Willow could be in a happy relationship when the series ended, but Amber Benson couldn't do it. Maybe we shouldn't rule it out yet...

^Me too... In the comics, everything can happen:
Tillow, Willow will meet Tara again, and live happily ever after!
Spuffy, She's done baking, and it turns out chocolate chip cokkies are Spike's favorite (Angel likes them with broccoli)
Xanya, maybe not returning from the dead, but a last contact with her.
