Which doesn't make any sense. Surely Fae exist in the Buffyverse, they are one of most common motifs in folklore and mythology, and leprechauns are just the local denomination of fae. There's like six different types of demons that represent the immigrant experience, but no fae live in Ireland?

Also the more literal you are, the more we Irish will drive you crazy.

Not wee as in small, but we as in a collective, for clarity. Clarity is such a rarity on this day.
 
Happy St. Patrick's day! We're planning on making corned beef and veggies for the family tonight. No drinking for me, but should be a good meal! Hope everyone celebrates safely and responsibly!

Kinda does. It's this: they are one of most common motifs in folklore and mythology, and leprechauns. Leprechauns are a cliche. Saying they're a mythic fantasy lets them draw the line and create a reality by establishing a boundary between fiction/fact. That's until S5 when the aesthetic changes and Dracula smashes the wall. As it is, I'm pretty sure there's at least one leprechaun in the comics.

If this board is anything to go by, no people live in Ireland - they've all emigrated to the US. 😉 Manchester has a big Irish community and I saw one person celebrating yesterday (if wearing a pair of shamrock headboppers like these

counts as celebration). IDK, that was posh Altrincham - maybe it was all kicking off in Levenshulme.

The standard answer is "Without Papers" (i.e. Illegal Immigrant) but that's been questioned. It's considered highly derogatory in the UK and I haven't heard it for a long time.
