Nice one...why Lucas didn't release the films on that day baffles me. How could anyone not take the opportunity to raise such a brilliant pun...it would've been marketing gold IMO.

Sorry epo - I forget that some of you guys' first language isn't English ('cos you write - and speak, in your case - it so well). Puns can be confusing in any language if you're not a native speaker. I repped you with the answer 🙂

BTW - the Geordies on the ice planet thing is because they are famously very hardy folk...the Geordie Temperature Chart humourously (IMO) illustrates this concept Here
 
There was an announcement yesterday about the "new DVD release" of the Star Wars trilogy, scheduled for September 12.

Actually they are the original cinema versions of the three movies, without the various edits, additions, enhancements what-have-you that have been made in the prior DVD versions.

Some Star Wars purists have long clamoured for the original movies. The physical quality of the movies on these new releases will not be as good. After all the technology of the original films dates from 1977 when Star Wars itself was made to 1983 with Return of the Jedi.
 
I'm confused, why is there a star wars day?? Are you just supposed to celebrate the fact that the movies exist?
 
No its just Master K taking May the Force and implanting 'May the Fourth' on top.

In Fairness Mr P, when teh Phantom Menace came out on DVD, i was working at Blockbuster and we had a 'memo' from the distributors that came from him on high Mr Lucas.......' company stating that the reason he missed this specific date was because he didnt want the films associated with a joke........yet he let Jar Jar Binks in...the world is screwed!!!!!

ok i am so confused i mean really i dunno what to say to all this cuz i dont watch starwars and really dont follow anything but ya ummm happy starwars day everyone lol i guess

Ohhh maybe their can be a Buffy day? I think there should be

May the Force be with you is a very popular 'Star Wars-ism' and possibly THE most popular movie-line ever.

So as a joke (cute too!) Master K wished everyone Happy Star Wars Day on May 4th...May the Fourth be with you 😀 😀 as a play on the movie-line.

And EVERY day should be a Buffy day!! 😀
