As the proud wife of a soldier, and knowing we have others here with family members in the military, I would like to take the opportunity to ask all of you to make sure you show your appreciation for military veterans today, all over the world. Military members give their time and sacrifice a lot to help protect their country. Let them know you're thankful for them today. 🙂

And I would like to add my sincere thanks to the men and women who make the commitment and stand the line in defense of our nation and its policies, even when those policies might seem questionable to others. I don't have the talent or the vocabulary to make the statement anywhere near as well as Mr Shakespeare did in his St Crispin's Day Speech, but I will say simply that I take great pride in recognizing and standing beside my brothers and sisters on this day and all of the other 364 days of the year.

So, veterans, never forget that you are respected, and honored, and that your sacrifices are noted and appreciated.

Thank you for every privilege that we enjoy and every free breath that we take, because you are directly for each and every one.

I wore a poppy today and joined in with the two minutes silence for Remembrance Day.

It's important that we remember the past soldiers and support the current ones.

An aside, I was in a train station today at 11.00 and they put out several announcements leading up to the two minute silence, and yet there were still some idiots who talked all the way through it. Is it so difficult to take two minutes out of your life to pay your respects? The majority of people respected the silence, however.

I know many who are in and have been in the military, and have a profound respect for any who choose to defend our country that way. Know that all soldiers of any kind and their families are continuously in my prayers. You (the soldiers and loved ones) do things that many would never have the courage, perserverance, or ability to do. You have my support, respect, and awe.

I spent 3 years in the US Army in Ft. Carson, CO, in a little group called "The Initiative." I can't really talk about it. 😉

Actually, I was an enlisted member of JAG. Are there any other vets here?

Thank you for your service!! We're actually hoping to go to Fort Carson when we leave here.
The extent of my experience the military department is watching "Forrest Gump" once. Even though I don't know much about our troops, I still understand that we owe a lot to them, and I want to thank everybody whos has served our country and everybody that is serving right now. I hope that they all come home safely, and I send my gratitude to them and their families. Happy Veteran's day.

Today my thoughts are with everyone affected by war. I hope that one day it won't be necessary to go to such measures and that people won't have to die protecting their countries.

my utmost respect goes to every past, present and future soldier and all those lives lost at war.
