Has anyone seen this film? I saw it tonight with a friend, It's really creepy.
Well not so much creepy but it does make you think, like was the girl justified in her actions? It was a really good twist on a common scenario, a older man lures a young girl to his home, then it's revealed she was actually the one who manipulated him into that situation. I thought it was brilliant, They had no background music in most of the film and I kept thinking of The Body, and how Joss said background music was there to comfort the viewer, well he was so incredible right the film really makes you feel uncomfortable, and not just cuz of the subject matter.
Ellen Page in incredible in it, I really liked her performance in X-Men 3, I though she was cool, but she really displayed a dept in her acting ability in HC. Although she was way hotter in X-Men 🙂
And oh my god the castration scene had my legs up on my seat as if protecting my balls!! Then when she put them in the disposal, whoa!!
Actually it was really interesting to see the reactions of the people around us, like during the castration scene all the men in the cinema moved around uncomfortably and I saw one blocking his ears to not her the cutting skin noises. But everyone went into the really self-protecting mode, because of the no music and the uncomfortableness of the situation every single person had their arms crossed, across their bodies, In that really defensive way. It was fascinating to see.
