My thanks to those who deemed it okay for the likes of me to write my tales of the characters of the B.T.V.S.

Harmony’s Sister’s Secret

Harmony’s first day of the new school year at Sunnydale High School brought a very stressful time, she hardly spoke to anyone preferring to sit in a corner at the back of the room. It was Maria, Harmony’s best friend who knew how to treat her and protected her from other students who tried to speak to her. When the teacher wanted an explanation as to why Harmony was keeping to herself Maria replied, “Harmony is distraught today it’s the anniversary of her sister.”

The teacher spoke to Maria, “Can you tell Harmony I am sorry I had no idea she has a sister.” “She does not have a sister anymore, her sister Sandra died when Harmony was only eight years old. Her sister had been knocked down by a car after pushing another girl from the cars path. Years of investigations followed as multiple questions were asked as to why Harmony’s sister had saved the girl. Not even the girl who had been saved knew the reason.

Years later while trying to find out if there reasons for the speculation it was discovered that there was a reason. Harmony said that her sister had visited her in a dream and given her an answer though Harmony did not understand the answer. Her sister said she had gone to a party but had met people who did not like her. It was while taking a short cut home that Harmony’s sister was knocked over by a car.

Harmony gave a list to Maria of who she wanted to attend a séance. Maria studied the list, it had her name and those of Willow, Buffy and Cordelia. “Why those names?” asked Maria. “I want you as a current friend and Cordelia as she is a non-believer. Willow as I think she will be helpful speaking to the dead and Buffy because she knows of those who disliked me so hopefully she can help.”

During the start of that evening Harmony placed the cards just like an Ouija around a circular table without a tablecloth on it. She had placed the letters of the alphabet on the table’s surface with the numbers 0 to 9. A ‘yes’ one end and ‘no’ the other with a solid mound of crystal for them to place their finger on. The windows the mirror and the television along with every other reflective surface in the room had been covered.

Harmony did not want to see her sister’s reflection, she was happy with the memories she already had of her. Sat about the table the five girls stared to each before they placed a finger on the crystal, Harmony bowed her head then looked to the home made Ouija board, she asked if her sister Sandra was there: The crystal slid to the ‘yes.’ Maria told Sandra that Harmony wanted to know and understand about the details of her death and what had led up to it.

The crystal began to move around the table to indicate the cards about the table, I-T-A-L-L-S-T-A-R-T-E-D-B-E-C-A-U-S-E-I-D-I-E-D-I-N-A-F-R-I-E-N-D-S-C-A-R. Willow wrote the letters that were pointed to then said what had been spelt. “I think it says, it all started because I died in a friend’s car,” said Willow. “But I thought you died after being knocked over,” said Maria. They all waited while more letters were indicated. I-D-I-D-T-H-E-F-I-R-S-T-T-W-O-T-I-M-E-S-B-U-T-N-O-T-T-H-E-L-A-S-T-T-I-M-E.

“It read I did the first two times but not the last time,” said Willow. “What does she mean the first time but not the last time did she die other times?” asked Cordelia.
“Why did you save that girl and what did you mean by she saved you?” asked Harmony. “I-T-W-A-S-N-O-T-H-E-R-T-I-M-E-T-O-D-I-E-S-O-T-H-E-A-N-G-E-L-O-F-D-E-A-T-H-H-A-D-M-E-K-E-E-P-D-Y-I-N-G-U-N-T-I-L-A-L-L-W-A-S-P-U-T-R-I-G-H-T. Willow started to try to understand the letters, “It was not her time to die so the Angel of death had me keep dying until the day it was put right,” said Willow.

“So you lived the same day over and over, so how long have you relived the same day?” asked Cordelia. I-T-W-A-S-F-O-R -T-H-I-R-T-Y-D-A-Y-S. “Thirty days!” exclaimed Willow. “How would that feel to live each day the same?” asked Cordelia. “To understand why you were reliving each day you would have to change something each day until the correct reason was found,” said Maria.

“If it had been my choice I would have thought vampires,” said Buffy. Maria stared at Buffy, “Vampires! Really?” asked Maria as she started to laugh. “If the party had been during the day I would not have thought of vampires but a party in the evening vampires are a possibility.” “Why would you think that?” asked Maria. “Just as well that you are not my sister, I’d never have thought it could be anything to do with any vampires, do they even exist?” asked Harmony.

“I do not understand how could you even consider that a reason for her death to be a vampire?” asked Harmony. Buffy apologized to Harmony, it sounds as if your sister was one like me though I wasn’t told about her. Hopefully my new guide will be able or willing to tell me about her, what I do want to know is if it was a vampire who killed your sister or not. Hopefully the people I know will investigate what happened to your sister,” said Buffy.

Buffy was sat with Willow, they were discussing the important attitude of the kitchen staff when Giles interrupted them, “I’ve just had word that Harmony’s sister Sandra died because some vampires were chasing her though Sandra turned the tables on them but they injured her.”

Buffy was told that during the evening the vampires got to Sandra again and gave her reason to fear her life. That was minutes before Sandra was called to be a Vampire Slayer. The knowledge of what was done against the vampires gave Sandra the power to win against the vampires.

The thought of Harmony’s dead sister keeping such a secret caused Buffy much consternation and the thought of Harmony’s sister being a slayer gave Buffy the inclination to ask her watcher why she had not been told of her.

Willow told Buffy of her new found gifts, she said she would call on Sandra to speak with her. Later that day Willow laid out her cards designed to contact the dead. When Buffy was sat down Willow unwrapped the velvet around the cards and placed them on the table.

After asking for Sandra Buffy watched as the pointer slowly moved to spell out the words of a message to Buffy, I-A-M-G-L-A-D-I-T-I-S-Y-O-U-W-E-H-A-V-E-M-U-C-H-T-O-T-A-L-K-A-B-O-U-T-T-H-O-U-G-H-T-H-I-S-W-A-Y-I-S-T-O-S-L-O-W. Willow told Buffy what had been said.
“I am glad it is you, we have much to talk about though this way is to slow.”

“How could we talk more directly?” asked Willow. L-O-O-K-T-O-T-H-E-T-E-L-E-V-I-S-I-O-N-S-C-R-E-E-N. Willow said, “Look to the television screen.”
Willow and Buffy faced the screen as the image of a Sandra’s face appeared to them. “I did wonder what she looked like,” said Buffy.

The image began to grow smaller then they saw Sandra standing in the screen Y-O-U-S-E-E-M-T-O-B-E-R-E-A-D-Y Buffy looked to Willow,
“You seem to be ready,” said Willow. “What do you think she meant by that though?” asked Buffy. Willow breathed in deeply. “At a gues I'd say that Sandra is about to appear in the room,” said Willow.

Willow wandered around the table and put her hands on the back of a chair. T-H-A-N-K-Y-O-U. About to speak to Buffy “I understood that,” said Buffy, smiling. Sandra appeared near the chair, Willow pulled the chair back for Sandra to pull the chair forward for her to sit on. Sandra faced both of them, “Yes this is better, do you agree?”

Willow and Buffy grinned to her. “Good, that girl Matilda was threatened by them though I did not realize they were vampires to begin with. As soon as I did I was able to make them cease to exist, that caused Matilda the freedom that she wanted, then she thanked me,” said Sandra.

“They were the first vampires I had dispatched I was and am so glad to her,” said Sandra. Willow grinned, “The problem now is your sister Harmony and there is still no one who understand what happened, none of Harmony’s friends know why nor the police.”

“That could be a problem, though as far as I am concerned only my sister needs to know the reason and maybe her best friend,” said Sandra. “Leave it with me I will contact them,” said Willow. Though they did not realize it neither Willow nor Buffy had closed the séance.

The next morning after Buffy had walked into the school library Sandra understood Buffy. “So you are the current vampire slayer?” asked Sandra. Buffy was surprised to see standing in front of her. “Are you going to introduce me to your new friend Buffy?” asked Giles.

Buffy faced Giles then faced Sandra, “This is going to be fun but first I want to know how you did die?” asked Buffy. “In the first battle I fought with them vampires one of them injured me in such a way that the injuries kept causing me more injuries and regardless of how quick I healed myself the injuries finally won out,” said Sandra.

“Meaning?” asked Giles. “Giles this is Sandra, she was a former vampire slayer,” said Buffy. “What do you mean was?” asked Giles. Buffy grinned to Sandra, “It is like this Giles Sandra is a ghost, you keep talking of previous slayers but have you ever met one?” asked Buffy.

“All it needs is for me to find out how my sister thinks of me,” said Sandra. Buffy nodded her head to her. “Hopefully by the time we meet Willow she will have spoken to Maria and your sister,” said Buffy. Willow was able to be very positive to them.

That evening in Buffy dining room Willow, Buffy, Giles and Sandra were in the front room when there was a knocking on the door, Buffy looked to see who it was before she waved everyone into the dining room. “Come in, we are all in the dining room,” said Buffy.

Maria and Harmony walked into the dining room. “I think you know everyone here,” said Willow. Harmony looked at each of them then at the table then her eyes fixed at the girl on the head of the table. Her bottom lip dropped open then began to tremble as the tears began to roll down her cheeks.
“Sandy!” stated Harmony.
