Harry Potter 5 comes out tomorrow!!!

FiveByFiveB, if you had read earlier posts, you would have realized that some of us don't want to know who dies. So thank you very much for making me thing that he is going to die. That isn't who I think it will be, but just for the fact, I would delete your post if I could, so that no one can read that. If anyone wants to know who dies without reading, please PM someone about it. Do not post it here for those who do not want to be spoiled to stumble across. And if you do post it. Please Give Spoiler space. Thanks.

My apologises, PadmeGinny. I didn't think it would effect anybody considering it was a joke, and not the actual person who dies in the book. I went back and edited my post so that no one else will have to read that. I did read the earlier posts; that's why I joked about it. Again, I apologise.

I didn't know how obsessive some people could be over Harry Potter books... my friend stayed up 'til 4 in the morning last night reading 250 pages of it instead of study for a test we had today... pretty sick. lol
 
well, when i was on final exams... i would stay here till 2 am waiting for the new buffy episode to finish downloading... and then i would watch it, and spend a good amount of time reading reviews and posting in boards.... so i'm not sure what's worse.. hehe
 
Thanks for the apology FiveByFiveB, I just didn't want anyone to think they had gotten spoiled. To some of us, HP is as awesome as Buffy and we live for the next book or movie. Thanks for editing, and sorry if I sounded too overreactive.

anyone can tell me for sure who the hell is killed.... i read the spoiler here, i'm not so sure that's the spoiler is so true, doesnt seem like the kind of guy that would be killed and would surprise people, of course i haven't read book 3 and 4.... i've just seen the movies...
 
Definitely no problem PadmeGinny. I guess HP really does compare to Buffy in the obsession sense, so as a Buffy-obsessor I should understand completely.

I know for sure who is killed, Lorne the Host, if you want me to PM you. I looked in my sister's HP book to be sure.
 
LOL! well that just spoils the entire thing! Hehe, anyways, a store in town just got a huge order of HP #5 so I'm going after work to buy it, now that I can afford it. I can't wait to read it!
 
I just finished reading it last night! It was sooo amazing, my favourite so far. It was a bit slow in the beginning but got so good after the very start that i couldnt put it down. Last night, i only had a 120 pages to go and was determined to finish it so was up till about 12 reading it! I dont wanna discuss details here coz thats not fair, but lets just say it provided some majorly interesting info!

The HP hype is amazing. I didnt pre-order but went up on saturday (day of launch) about 11am and asda supermarket (btw, i live in glasgow, scotland) had them for less than £9 and there were hundreds stacked up - got one no problem. Maybe thats due to location, i dunno, but i think here you would have absolutely no trouble getting your hands on a copy!

Its worth it - brilliant. I was out mostly but i managed to read it in any spare time (slightly sad, i know, lol) and it was just great. Now i need something new to read! lol!

I liked the book a lot although I have a real problem with some of the things within it... especially with JK's love of trying to spoil the truely decent characters she creates... for instance Snape in the previous book where he tries to have Sirius killed through vengeful spite... he was already too good a character to stop people loving him...

And now Umbridge... she had a great potential for an evil char but she seemed to be infected with 'incompetent villian disease' when dealing with the twins... she could easily have been malevolent darkness if she'd just played her right...
 
we should start a new thread to discuss what happens in the book for those of us who've read it already. I just finished mine this morning. It's awesome. So if anyone else is interested in a thread to discuss the book itself, start one or tell me, and I'll start it.
