Hey all,

after getting it the minute it came out, reading it right away and now having re-read it already, is there anyone in here who also got it and read it?
I was (and still am) so excited. Let´s keep this spoiler free for all of those who haven´t had the time to get it and read it.

In other news: I spent 11 hours trying to get tickets yesterday and no luck. There were still 11.988 people in the online queue in front of me when they closed because of sold out tickets 🙁

I have not read it yet (but will do soon when I have more time). I'm excited, but also worried, having read the spoilers. I hope the story proves me wrong, but I did not like the storyline from what I've read of reviews/spoilers.

So, is this a new book, or the scripts of the new play? 😕

I haven't read it yet, though I'd like to. Currently all of my fun money has gone to buying the comics for the boards re-read. So maybe once that's over?

It seems to be getting mainly positive reviews from what I've seen. But, I haven't seen a ton of articles about it yet.

Not to be a downer but I wonder how much more they're gonna wring out this franchise. I can't remember how many spin offs, movies, and plays etc there's been now. There's so much reverence around the brand that they could release any old tosh and someone would buy it.

I like the actual 7 story books though.

I think JK Rowling is very particular about what happens to her characters. I don't think we'll see Harry Potter movies for the next 10 years. I believe she's retained a lot of control with regards to the usage of her characters, but there's obviously been a lot of people who want to know what happened to them after Hogwarts (so they did the play) and what happened before (so they've done the prequel movie). So I don't think they will do much more after this, unless she bows to public pressure....

That's true! She does have a lot of artistic integrity, which I respect. I just hope we don't get Harry Potter fatigue because publishers or studios see it as a cash cow.
